Happy Thursday!
In the US, we're pretty close to our long weekend (longer if you took Friday off!)
DH is smoking some ribs. I have them occasionally. Since they're higher fat, I just don't add oil that day. Thank goodness for WF BBQ sauce! I also have carnitas made from pork tenderloin. I can have that instead of ribs with less fat.
We'll also have steaks & burgers this weekend. All OP food (with the right sides).
I just wanted to make sure our returners knew the protocol sheets have changed. Veggies added/rearranged & protein is 8 oz now. I'm adding a link to the beginning post of the daily chat so it'll be there.
Morning all. Another week has come and gone and changes keep happening for me. I am happy to report that this week's loss totals 5 pounds. Which - wait for it...........officially breaks me out of the 290's. 289 is what the scale is reading this morning.
Lots of NSV this week as well. I have very few pairs of pants that fit. No, I'm not walking around bare from the waist down but with how baggy my pants are I do resemble a hobo to some degree. A well dressed hobo that is. The same can be said about most of my shirts. Quite a bit of bagginess happening there as well.
Another thing I discovered this week with my weight loss - I now have dimples. I don't mean on my azz. Well I have them there too but that's a discussion for another day. I looked in the mirror the other day and low and behold the image staring back had dimples in its cheeks. Go figure when you aren't swelled up like a balloon there is actually definition to your face.
Last but not least, the man boobs - or moobs as I call them are shrinking up nicely. About bloody time. I wasn't looking forward to having to post up in some of the bra threads to ask advice. I don't think the Manssiere or the Bro are on the market so I would have no options. That and if I didn't lose the weight I would have had to take desperate measure. I don't think if I trucked down to the local Walmart to try on a few different bra sizes would have gone over very well.
Well that's all from me this week. Hope you all continue to do well and take care and enjoy the upcoming long weekend.
Good morning, Everyone!
Spiritman- congratulations on your progress. Thanks for the laughs and smiles this morning.
I actually started my vacation yesterday (oh, poor me. I have some use it or lose it vacay days to spare, so I was "forced" to take time off). These are great days for planning and hitting the resale/thrift stores to get ready for summer, and there are good sales at other stores, too. It's a good thing I only get paid at the beginning of the month, or I would give in to my new craving- finding cute clothes (on a budget. I love a good deal!) Today is my WI day. Now that I am within 10 or so pounds of my goal, my losses have definitely slowed. I thought it was exercise, so I stopped that for the week, but I haven't really seen a difference. I know I can't tweak the program, so I just keep repeating "patience". Besides, even though I can't wait to reach my goal weight (and have some fruit), I appreciate the simplicity of P1, so I'm not in a big rush to phase out. It's sad how other things really aren't tempting me, but fresh fruit ... I think I need to pickup some wild berry yogurt drink at my WI to shut up that craving.
Anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful day.
Morning to All! This weekend my first born Grand daughter is graduating, where has the time gone???? Her party is at my house on Saturday. She has always come to to my house after school even now that she has been in high school. Now that she is going to college those days are over. It is a bittersweet time so proud of her but wish I could keep her small forever.

According to my BMI, I am OFFICIALLY normal weight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not bad considering I used to be morbidly obese!
YAY! That's fantastic, way to go!
I made chocolate ganache and raspberry cake filling last night. While I DID taste test, I spit it all out immediately and washed my mouth out, so I consider that me staying OP. :P Hopefully none managed to slide into my tummy. Baking cakes tonight!
I glimpsed the phase sheets Lisa posted and I'm releived that most of the time I'm not eating properly is because I've snuck in a day of Phase 2. I think I need a day of Phase 2 every week or two to keep me from going insane. :P
