Hi accgy, I'm from Calgary also (home of the Caesar!) Anyway, this wouldn't be allotted on phase 1 unfortunately. The clamato juice has carbs and sugars.

You can't substitute a vegetable juice cocktail for a protein packet. Period.

Damn I'm dying for one
And it wasn't to replace a pack but be part of the daily 4 cups of veggies as we can have tomatoes twice per week

Alcohol is also not allowed on Phase 1. Any time you drink alcohol, your body metabolizes that first, no matter what else is going on - even if you attempted to "cheat" by drinking a no-carb alcohol, that is time your body SHOULD be burning your fat that it would be burning off the alcohol instead. For me, NOTHING was worth spending one extra minute on phase 1 - why throw money out the window by having to be on P1 longer than you need to?

Juicing isn't recommended as part of your veggie portion (this is different from BLENDING or PUREEING, which preserves the fiber in the veggies). Your body needs that fiber to help keep you regular - which is enough of a challenge on P1. Aside from that, commercial tomato juice is usually loaded with sodium and preservatives. Stick with the fresh veggies.

I completely agree with you. A cheat can take up to a week to make up, at minimum a few days. It's not worth the cheat, just stay focused and be strong!

Thanks LinaSK I was doing well for the past 3 weeks. Then Thursday I called it quits so to speak. My days got all screwed up and then the weekend got mixed into it so I just decided to take a break for a few days. What a mistake that was!!! I have gone back up on the scale But today is a brand new day, a new "re"start to IP and this time I will make it to the end. I am about 15lbs from my goal weight (which is low for me and not sure I'll even make it that low) and I feel refreshed and energized and ready to take this on again.

I see your from Calgary. Im in Fort McMurray - Congrats by the way on a successful 1st day

Thank you Lina and Lisa for the tips

Also, thanks to Ruti for the roasting instructions. I am definitely going to have to try that. So far, I have eaten almost all of my veggies crunchy or in a microwave steam bag and have not been very creative. I need to learn to do veggies right and even how to season them because they are going to make up a large portion of my diet from here on out. A question about roasting if anyone is still awake: what do you roast veggies on? A glass baking dish, a cookie sheet (what's that?) Maybe it doesn't matter? Do you flip them once?

Looking forward to trying!

Hello Hello! Hope you are all well! Day 5 done and dusted and feeling fantastic! I had my first weigh in having started last Thursday. My total body weight dropped 6.4 pounds, of which 4.4 pounds are attributable to fat based upon the InBody 520. I am pretty excited but figure most of that is water loss, although their machine said otherwise. I guess I don't see much difference in my body yet, but that'll happen.

Anyhow, I am curious how you all get your measurements. Do you just do them yourself?
