Sylviesgirl Thanks for thinking of me!! Sorry about your son's rabbit. Losing a pet is hard. AND so is resisting turning to food for comfort. Congrats to you!!

Rarebird I haven't been here much, but haven't forgotten you. Have you gone to Faunce Corner Nutrition???

I had a really long day yesterday! Got up @ 5 am and worked 6 am until 10pm! I packed an extra protein drink and had my bar at 830 pm so I had 4 IP but I can not recover today! Got all my protein and veggies. Feeling so weak. Is there anything else I can do? I will have some days like this this summer but I feel so depleted wondering about other suggestions.

For one, make sure you are drinking PLENTY of water - if you're running around all day like that, it'd be easy to get dehydrated (especially in the summer!) and dehydration can cause fatigue.

You can also have a 2-egg white omelet (those can be made ahead of time) or if that isn't enough you may want to try bumping it up to a whole hard boiled egg.

Yes... the recommended amount and same amount I took while I used soy protein and I had no issues then. I also drink about 200 ounces of water a day. But thanks for thinking about it and responding.

I'm sure we'll connect soon. I haven't been to Faunce Corner Nutrition yet. I'm hesitant to buy any more protein foods until I figure out what my issue is and resolve it. I just got a new job right near the mall though, so I'll be stopping in soon, if only to check it out. And I'm excited about being closer to Market Basket too and all the 0/0/0 items available there (even though I know technically we're no longer allowed 0/0/0 foods)! I still haven't been there either.

We're going out of town for 4 days, business for my bf, vacation for me! Any tips on staying OP while out of your element? This will be my first trip while on IP. We're driving, so i'm planning on bringing a case of water, pills, bars, rtd's and a bag or two of protein chips.

I don't think i'll have a problem, but any advice is welcome. Thanks!

RareBird I use Braggs Organic Apple Cider Vinegar everyday on my salad and it helps keep things moving. I can't promise it will work for you, but it's worth a try. I ran out of a while back and bought a bottle of regular ACV and started having issues with the Big C. The day I started using the Braggs ACV again it fixed the issues.

LOL... Thanks, but I use that too! Maybe I should just start swigging it (I usually use a bit over 2 tablespoons).

New to group but did my WI in today and have in 2 weeks on IP lost 22.4lbs and and a total of 5 inches. My coach told me that guys usually lose the weight faster but it really blew my mind.

That's about how much I use a day. Have you tried Psyllium Husks? Scorbett usually recommends that to people.

Yep... started with 5 capsules a day, then increased to 10. When this started, I did a lot of reading, and have tried everything I can think of, or I wouldn't have posted about such a sensitive topic. My thought now is that maybe with the whey and casein protein, my calcium intake is too high with the supplements. If no one knows what else could be wrong, I may stop the supplements for a few weeks and see if it makes a difference. I'm also thinking of moving to the alternative plan so I can add fruit. Otherwise, I'm fresh out if ideas.

I was able to read back to your original post - how many days have you been using the Miralax? It works a LOT slower than the Mag Citrate, but is a lot gentler on your digestive tract. I have dealt with constipation for years (it's one of my pet symptoms with my hypothyroidism) and I have a Miralax regimen than I have to do periodically. I take a single dose the first day, in the morning. The second and third day, I take a full dose in the morning and a full dose in the evening. If nothing has happened by then, I take a double dose in the morning and a single dose in the evening, until something happens. This was recommended to me both by my primary doctor AND my Ob-Gyn when I had a particularly bad bout during my last pregnancy. It's not something I've ever had to do beyond 4 or 5 days (and most of the time by the 2nd day I'm good).

The other thing I would suggest is trying to find whole psyllium husks, not the caplets - sometimes those are more effective at "scrubbing" things out.
