Response to finding Rutabagas and Jicama-

Rutabagas are often called Wax Turnips (they do have a thick waxy skin - must peel!) I find those in the potato/onion area of our store's produce section. The turnips are always in a completely different area with radishes, beets, parsnips, etc.

I find the Jicama in a section that has more "exotic" fruits/veggies such as plantains, aloe, cherimoya, etc (near the bananas).

I used Jicama the other day to make "baked apples" using an idea from here . I cooked them diced in microwave for many minutes (maybe total of 12 -15) and they just wouldn't get very soft! Didn't like them too well - liked this recipe MUCH better using zucchini (don't cook too long or those will be mush!)

Rutabaga is now on the restricted list - you can only have it twice a week.

The Lemon Puffs are being discontinued, but the white chocolate cinnamon ones are not going to be discontinued.

IP will be discontinuing 7 products and replacing them with 7 new ones over the next 6 months.
My coach forwarded an email from IP headquarters to me this morning saying all 3 were being discontinued.

Once inventory is depleted, they're gone.

OH thats funny! I made chocolate bark for mothers day, and when I was done
spreading the chocolate on the pan I was just about to put the spoon in my
mouth and was like OMG NO!! Like it was poison!
Put the pans and spoon right into the sink! Made a cup of tea! phew!

Hi! Quick question.... I tried searching but didn't see anything. Is there any gum you can chew or mints? I'm getting a bad taste in my mouth but don't want to mess up going into ketosis. Thanks!

I read about spry gum on this site. I ordered some from amazon today. No sugar or carbs.

I got my Ticker & Signature today !! Woohoo! Just trying it out

Hope everyone had a wonderful OP day today I mixed it up a bit and had my IP packets for Breakfast and Supper and enjoyed a subway salad (chicken breast, lettuce, cucumber, pickles) for lunch. It was a nice "treat"

Congrats to everyone on the NSV and all the great Weigh-ins ! Sure make the week easier to face when you have some encouragement from the scale or any other way. <3

Hi, all. Made it through Day 2!! Had the dreaded headache much of the day, but it was more annoying than truly bothersome. Also learned an important lesson about being prepared. Mid-morning meeting ran several hours longer than planned & I had nothing with me to eat. DUH! I stayed strong and managed not to eat any of the non-IP food available to me, but it was touch and go there for a bit. Now know to always carry an extra bar in my purse and have stashed a prepared drink in the car, just in case. On to Day 3 a bit wiser.
