Default Boiled crawfish

Does anyone know how boiled crawfish fits in with the IP program? Husband just called and said someone gave his a sack. Of course I won't eat the potatoes or corn. but what about the tail meat?

This is my third week on IP. Had some mess ups, but have not broken since Monday

Crawfish is listed as a regular protein on the sheet. It's fine!

Just make sure to drink extra water. I have been doing IP since January and went through Lent having boiled crawfish or shrimp every Friday. I did find that because of the salt I didn't lose great on the weeks I ate crawfish, but did a little better on the weeks I ate shrimp. I know it could be a lot of different things, but I believe it was the salt content. My hubby boils crawfish and shrimp exactly the same, but I think because the shrimp meat is denser it doesn't absorb as much salt as the crawfish tails do. My observation only.
It's good to know that we can still enjoy our cajun delicacy and stay 100% OP!

Thank Goodness I find that I'm really missing my cajun flare. Right now the food is pretty much boring. I'm sure as I continue I will become more creative.

Staying OP is really difficult for me. I don't have much to lose. But I started the program to get away from the evil sugar. I find that my body functions so much better without all of the carbs and sugars. It's just really hard, especially with all of the festivals going on right now around the area.

I agree that in the weeks I had crawfish my losses wern't that great. I was also drooling over the potatoes, dip and corn!! Lol!
Shrimp didn't seem to bother the scale as much.

The potatoes are my biggest craving at boils. I actually like the potatoes and dip more than the crawfish.
To get through it, I do a batch of approved veggies as well. Mushrooms, asparagus (HOT), and/or green beans (SUPER HOT!).
