I'm doing alternatives. Today I weighed in and I'm down 7 pounds. I'm SO happy and can't wait until my next weigh in I feel so much better.

Smoothie packet in the morning, lunch is looking like a salad with chicken and pico de gallo or cucumber (I need energy so I can handle an evening workout every day), pudding packet snack, post workout Atkins shake (which is off plan, but I'm sticking to them until I can find a palatable and affordable alternative), and packet with veggies for dinner.

TooManyMaggies, I used to drink atkins shakes every morning and easily switched to premier Protein choc shakes. I buy at Costco and they are delicious. 30 grams of protein so it really holds me over til lunch.

Delicious to me. Very similar to the Atkins chocolate shake but OP. Let me know what you think if you try them. Not sure if you can buy one somewhere, maybe Walmart so you don't have to purchase a carton?

I made rainbows crackers using the potato puree packet, I added dill and sea salt. On top I heaped a tuna, red pepper, onion, WF mayo and WF ketchup dip with a dash of hot sauce. The crackers turned out great. A nice change of pace to have a cracker with a topping.

Spiritman Happy Birthday!!
FaithgogsMA Have you been to Faunce Corner Nutrition?? There's a lot of fans here!!

WI today. Lost 4lbs. However, I think some of it is this stomach bug that seems to be lingering. Still feel BLAH but have to go to work. Unless they cancel me.
There was a big meeting at the clinic today, a training session. I wonder if they are opening up another clinic?? I talked about training a bit with my coach but we didn't get in depth. I felt like crap and wanted to go home. Making a nice veggie soup to bring to work.

I made Rainbows Cauli Tots last night and I could not get them to crisp up on the outside at all. Even sitting out for a couple hours they still are really soft and mussy on the outside. They had an incredible flavor though! Any suggestions on how to much them a little crunchy on the outside?

I tried adding exercise back in, but at the time I was told it was causing me to lose lean muscle. That scared me (although I talked to my coach, she expressly told me not to add an extra packet, I believe this to have been really wrong advice now,) also my WI's also went way low (less than a pound a week.) For me with so much to lose and hoping to get to a healthy weight by the time I have to do my company's mandatory (ish) health scan, I have chosen to stop exercising altogether (My second job is working at the local Curves and all I get 'paid' is my gym membership which I can not use, it's feeling a little like torture for now.) This will have to be a personal choice based on how exercise makes you feel and if you can handle slower losses.

I didn't start solo, but I did have to part ways with my coach and do it sort of alone now. I mean honestly I get better advice from all the Ladies here and I have my best friend who calls me from England every week just so I have to be accountable and have a weekly weigh in with someone. I would be more than happy to compare notes or just talk about what's going on.

Oh my, again with lots of scales lol. I say this to lots of people, normally in my real life. EVERY scale will give you a different answer. It's totally possible that at least one of those is right. Tell you what to do, check to see if they will all weigh something like a five pound bag of flour as such. (or alternatively a gallon of water weighs eight pounds) If they are all way off and you can not re calibrate them, then sure get rid of them all, but if there is one that is right, keep that one. If they are all really close then keep the one you like the most and take the other two to a thrift store and donate them. If your just set on buying something new, remember the new digital ones that measure body fat % and water levels, well they are not perfect and have a margin of error, meaning they will fluctuate and you should use those numbers as a guide to the general trend you are in. Meaning don't let the fluctuations drive you crazy.

Some of you may have noticed yesterday that the mention of snow in my forecast had me a bit gloomy, well those weathermen were not wrong, woke up to just under a foot of snow on the ground after it being near 80 on Monday! Compared to today, yesterday I was positively a Pollyanna, lol. Great timing on going back to work, I will find a bright side, just give me a moment.
Thanks for the tip, I'll do that tonight. If I don't have to buy a new one, I'd rather not.

Happy birthday Spiritman!

Day 3 and i finally have those headaches that everyone's been talking about. I have been drinking water and munching on Maldon sea salt flakes. They come in a little tin, similar to altoids. It's literally just salt, but I kind of like the crunch aspect. Has anyone else used these?

I went to the one in Fairhaven, but I just did not get a nice feeling from the girls there so I just am going it alone. Bit of a trek for me each week, but who knows, maybe

How many oz are in these shakes? I looked up their site, and I just can't see where it's listed..... I like a larger shake.

So I used my Ketostix today and I went from being a dark purple to a light purple. Yesterday I had a 4th packet which was the Cheddar Ridges. Could this be the cause? I can't think of any other changes.

I just happen to have a couple in my fridge so I pulled one out. The premier protein choclolate shake is 11 oz! That's with only 160 cals, 3g of fat, 5g carb and 30g protein. Enjoy!
