It's the early bird here. Good morning everyone and wishing you a blissful day and wonderful weekend! :-)
I have been breaking my weight loss down into 5 pound increments now and reached a new number today on the scale I hadn't seen in awhile. Isn't it the most delightful thing to see those "new" numbers? Pure, pure joy! Ah, the simple things in life.
Okay, so I've been slacking...not measuring. And I cheated. DH made his special chicken w/mayo and parm cheese. And I haven't been eating my veggies, or drinking my water.
Had my WI and miracle of miracles, down 2lbs. But my coach could tell that I cheated, my clinic has the machine that measures all that. She let me have it!!!
Lesson learned, back on track!!!
Good Morning!
Finally looking like a great Sping Day here already 60 and Sun shining! What a huge difference a Little SUN can do for energy!
Peaches congrats on "new" number! I'm on edge of dropping out of 170's can't wait to be in the 160's. So nice how thing move so quickly around here!
Have a great OP day!
Good morning, Everyone!
Peaches- Congratulations! I'm less than 2 pounds from that new number (at home), and it's so much fun as I get closer and closer. These little things definitely help to get us motivated.
It has been a crazy week! I haven't cheated, per se, but I can't claim I was 100% either. Currently, in my city, there is a two-week festival that is full of parties, parades, and fundraisers. On Monday, I went to the parade where a sack dinner was provided- nothing I could eat, but I brought SW cheese curls. Wednesday night was a huge outdoor party that is also the biggest fundraiser of the year for the non-profit where I work. I volunteered all night surrounded by food, wine, and beer booths that were filled with treats from some wonderful restaurants. Then, I moved into the VIP area to serve wine alongside some of the most amazing, high-end restaurants in town. The smells were intoxicating, and people continuously offered me tasting plates of the most aromatic and tempting foods and desserts. Thankfully, my co-worker and I had discussed a little about IP, so she was always in my corner, saying things like "that's drowning in butter", "there will be cheesecake in the future" (but this one really did look AMAZING!), and my favorite quote, "seriously, it's just a cupcake." I tasted some of the grilled meats (not sure what seasonings were on them), ate 1/4 of a disassembled burger, and a tiny salad tasting. I didn't get all my foods in, but I was strong in the face of temptation. I even got my first, "you're getting too skinny, eat a cupcake." Yesterday, I was hungrier than I have been in awhile, but I recognized the reasons (at less the day before and, honestly, thinking about some of the foods I did not eat). So...I got on the site, read postings, and got myself mentally on track.
Sorry so long, but you are the only ones who really get it. I appreciate my co-worker for helping me stay strong, and I thank all of you for being there, even in the middle of the night. Have a great day!

You did amazing!!! You just motivated me for the weekend ahead!!
Good morning all!!
I've been lurking for the last week but new to the site. My husband and I started IP last Monday and at our first weigh in we both lost 5lbs each. Very excited about this diet and I'm very thankful for all the information that is on this site as well since my coach is useless. just wanted to say hi and start becoming active on the daily chats as motivation.
Good Morning!

I am on the edge of breaking free of the 170s too, hopefully by WI Monday!!! It's a great feeling...starting to feel "skinny"!
my favorite quote, "seriously, it's just a cupcake."
I love your story (and it shows how one can make it through a gourmet foodie mine field), but laugh as I respectfully disagree with the above statement.
I adore sweet little cupcakes so very much - the thought of them puts a smile on my face. They are simply so adorable and cute and angelic! LOL!
******
Random thing - I put a teeny bit of kale in my chocolate drink this morning and it was delish.
For myself, I got this way by not having food in it's proper place. Too much adorization of food and thinking I couldn't live without this or that, drooling over when I'd get my next "fix".
We CAN and DO live without treats.
In the last couple of days I've seen lots of descriptions of things we are not eating right now, giving them a LOT of power.
The foods we are eating on Phase 1 are healing us and if we focus on them, will remove most cravings, making us stronger and healthier. Right now, those are the foods to focus on!

WAY TO GO!! Good for you doing so well under that much pressure,
nice to have a supportive coworker too!
Lisa, hope your feeling better!
Congrats to all the weight losses this week.
I'm hanging tight in first week on P4, just adding little
bits at a time! Monitoring the scale and using my fitnessPal app., love that
thing!!
Hope everyone has a great OP weekend!!
The sun is shining, yay!!!!!

So, what are you doing today to stay ON plan?
To Each His Own...
The fact I love driving fast racing cars when given the chance, gives the cars no power, unless I choose to turn my power over to a silly inanimate object.
It's okay to chit chat about this and that. That's life and that's a support system; the support system being the wonderful aspect of this group.
Morning everyone - Just came home from work with some foul belly virus. Felt fine when I got up, but it hit me like a ton of bricks, at the start of a meeting. Just left all my stuff at the meeting and the rest of history. Home now and hoping it calms down.
