Weigh in #2 yesterday!
Here is my happy dance.
I am down another 2.2 lbs and 2.25 inches. That puts me at a total loss of 5.8 lbs and 7.5 inches in two weeks. I just lost 10% of my weight loss goal. I need to do that another 9 times and I will be there. Here is to another great week.

Ha! I generally work out alot and am still soft and flabby! :-)
It's been that way my whole life and I've been an exercise maniac at times. I have not yet figured out why. Food combining, lack of nutrients, etc. etc? No clue. But that is going to change now once and for all.

Thanks for the advice....when I see my Doc next month I'll ask for a caliper measurement! I actually received one of those as a free gift when ordering from one of the weight loss sites lol! Hmmmm....wonder where I put that darn thing anyway! Ha!
Thank you!! We enjoy that ride too, tho our 15 yr old with autism won't step foot inside lol (and we're not much for "parental units taking turns") . BUT, we will have a Fairy Godmother who will give us a break.....AND THEN we will RIDE!!!

Maintenance has been a great learning experience, I'm still trying new things and watching how my body reacts, but so far I'm still within a pound of where I finished and feel great!

Whoa! I love the Whaling museum! I'm from Providence and I used to go every year, demanded it (!), to go see the scrimshaw collection. Have fun!

So hungry today
Big salad on the horizon!
Whenever I have these days, my entire dinner goes on a huge bed of lettuce
If I don't "want" lettuce, I know I'm not really hungry!

I have a question about dry brushing my skin.
Today I got a Vegetable Fiber skin brush at whole foods. It says it can be used wet or dry.
I used it very lightly on one arm and its very scratchy - also it seems to be shedding bristles faster than I am losing my hair
It wasn't cheap and I've never seen bristles fall out of a brush like this before - but then again I've never had a "vegetable fiber skin brush" either.
Am I doing something wrong? Any advice would be appreciated.

First consult tomorrow!
Hi all, I've been trolling this forum for several weeks trying to gather as much info on IP as I possibly can before my initial consult tomorrow at my clinic. I plan to start IP on Thu morning if I like what I hear tomorrow. Just want to thank you all for the wonderful info you have provided here and for being an inspiration to others like myself! I sure hope I can commit 100% to this journey! I am sure you all will be hearing more from me.

Am weighing in a day early this way due to scheduling conflicts. This is the first weigh in that I have no confidence in the scale moving. I cheated for the first time this Saturday. Allowed the stress of my sister to get to me but got right back on plan the next day. If I have to pay the piper for my cheat this week I will. Phase 2 has been quite easy.
Thank you for all the kind words. My sister was non responsive until Sunday when she woke up. She is very ill, has major heart problems and has been diagnosed with Vascular Dementia, all related to the stroke. My heart is with her.
Take care - Alice

Rather interesting day in the Spiritman homestead. The wife picks up our supplements when needed. Well at the start of last weekend she stated she was going to try Floralax and had great success with it if you know what I mean.
Well.....unbeknownst to me, combined with my usual lack of attention she put the Floralax bottle with the rest of the bottles of supplements. So me being the innocent victim I am, for the last 1.5 days have been dutifully following the supplement plan all the while thinking..."That's odd, they must have changed the formula for the multivitamin, it looks different then the ones we have been taking, oh well down the hatch".
So imagine my surprise when for the last day now I can't get 20 feet away from a bathroom. All the while thinking "What the frick is causing this?"
So my darling wife who just now has finished wiping tears out of her eyes from laughing at me has moved the Floralax bottle and put the new multivitamin bottle with the rest of our supplements, where it's supposed to be.
I would type more but yet again nature is calling so I gotta go....literally.

WI last night for the end of week 3. I was down 2.75 lbs which makes over 11 total.
DH is down 8 and a bit frustrated to be a man and going so much slower than the average but it's progress non-the-less. He's worried about passing a PRT weigh in in 2 weeks. Somehow it's kind of screwy for his height cuz looking at him there's no way he should be having trouble passing but he needs to be another 7 lbs down just so he doesn't fail.
Have a great day!

Good luck tomorrow!
I started this not really wanting to do this program but nothing else seemed to be working for my DH. I'm glad I did though. It is working well and is usually pretty doable! I've found that there are some of the protein supplements leave me well satisfied and others I'm hungry soon after eating so using the ones that work for me seems to be key for me.
