I'm usually in Boston this week every year but missing it. So many wonderful favorite non-IP places to eat. BUT I'd look for one of those packs of pre-cooked hard boiled eggs as my protein and see if they have snack packs of celery.

Atkins bars are NOT IP friendly. Fat and carbs are too high, and there's a ton of sugar alcohols, which aren't good, either

The Atkins Advantage shakes, though, are okay, though still high on the fat.
The carbs are within the limits, and I've used them in times of emergency.

If you can find the EAS CarbAdvantage shake...those are the best.

I agree with finding some hard boiled eggs or cut up veggies. Those would do you good, too...especially the eggs for your protein.

CVS, Walgreens and WalMart have plenty of options in the diet foods aisle.

Here's what you want to look for:

Under 200 calories

Less than 30% total calories from fat (multiply calories from fat by 3, if it's smaller than total calories you're good)

Under 8g net carbs (carbs minus dietary fiber) - unrestricted
9g net carbs to 16g net carbs - restricted
17g net carbs - super restricted
Over 17g net carbs - too high

At least 12-15g protein

Thank you!
I found out that her campus diner had Cod (with crumbs of stuff on top i tried my best to take everything out) and a salad bar so i just go that with a Powerade Zero, then I had leftover 8oz chicken as a replacement of my bar. I hope its ok!

I got stuck once travelling and had some beef jerky so it was at least protein and not carbs. Too much salt and other things to do that regularly obviously, but that was my 'best' gas bar purchase. Most protein bars at those places are too high in carbs, but some places will have the "Pure Protein" bars. You'll find a better "bar" selection if you can hit a drug store instead. Desparate times call for desparate measures

Great job!

I have had some fish that had coating/breading and I just remove every bit I possibly can. Weight loss not affected, so all's good.

good ideas from all, in case of emergency. Boiled eggs is a great tip I can use. Even 7/11's have them. Those veggie plates wrapped up exist in the 7/11 as well. Thanks for tips, all. And I'm glad all worked out for you, Leanne.
