Hi All - I am on week 5 of IP and doing very well (down 19 lbs). I got a food list from my "coach" today listing what they have available and noting which are restricted. I'm noticing a lot more foods listed as restricted on this list vs. what it says on the IP protocol sheet. Foods like the Strawberry Wafer, White Cheddar Ridges do not appear as restricted on my protocol sheet but are listed as such on her list. Sadly I have been eating these newly restricted foods along with a restricted each day (but still losing). Anyone know what's going on with this?
P.S. I refer to her as my "coach" as she was just hired and knows little to nothing about this diet.
THose aren't IP products. Those are off-brand products. If your coach is charging you IP rates for them (as in. more than $12 per box) you are getting ripped off.
Maybe I should clarify - if the clinic is listing them as unrestricted, but the food label shows them as 9g NET carbs or more, they are restricted and the clinic just has it wrong.
But if according to the box they are 8g NET carbs or less that means they are NOT actual IP product. The IP versions are restricted.
These items have both been at my clinic (in Canada) since I joined last May. Both restricted. However we have some things here (like pre-made delicious pudding) that you don't, so maybe they're "new" to US market. Both restricted here. In fact, anything good is restricted LOL. The strawberry wafer btw is VERY big if I recall. I thought it was good value and lasted a long time.

They aren't new to US. Both have been available since I started in Aug
I believe Kfab's coach is providing erroneous info.
If I had my scanner hooked up, I'd post my order sheet with restricted/non restricted listed. Oh...I can take a pic...we'll see how that goes.
Kfab: My protocol sheet doesn't really list all the IP products. So it wouldn't be unusual for them to not all be listed there.
I would go by what Scorbett says, I find her to be really really knowledgable about the foods. (Thank you Scorbett) In this case, I know too, that they are both restricted if they are the IP version.
