Hi all
Last day of my extended weekend in Ft Lauderdale

We didn't rent a car so have been walking lots. I sure can walk better than I could 60 lbs ago! I still feel hip/low back muscles tighten up, so there is still strengthening and stretching to do. DH noticed a remarkable difference when we were walking up some stairs.

W did some shopping but although I don't miss the weather at home , I miss my kitchen conveniences and more veggie choices. Gonna be tired of spinach and celery!

I can't believe today I'm on the beach and tomorrow I will be at work

I'm going to start looking into alternatives but I can't find the nutrional facts I need to stay within/under to copy Ideal Protein. I know it's on here somewhere, I've read it before!! I'm having trouble in my searches for it. I'm talking about staying under the 20/25 g of carbs, how to factor in sugar alcohol, etc. How much protein should be in shakes. Can anyone point me to the post with that information? Thank you for your help!
I have posted that info a few times in the threads with info on alternative products, I bumped the better threads up for you but here's the post with the basic nutritional guidelines:

Happy Tuesday everyone! I went through my closet last night intending to get rid of all the oversized baggy clothes that I don't want/need to wear any more....that didn't leave much hanging up any more. I don't want to buy much right now as I'm not where I want to be but it still felt good cleaning it out. Of course it's getting harder and harder to get dressed in the morning as now I'm not looking at things to hide my old body but things that will accentuate my new emerging one. It's frustrating but I love it!!!

Thanks for bumping and adding this link. Just looking at some ProtiLife alternative. Safeway in canada has a whole bunch of their products, hoping to use some, especially for husband who is following along with me. I don't know why I am confused by it, but all I have to do is multiply calories from fat by 3 and if lower than total calories it is fine??????

Here is theire oatmeal stats:
160 cal
25 cal from fat
fat 3 gr
carb 18 gr - 4 for fibre

I am thinkig ok as restricted.

And peanut butter bars:
160 cal
60 cal from fat
fat 6 gr
carb 16 - fibre 4 , sugar alcohol 5 gr

So these look like they are too high in fat? Over 30% as 60 times 3 is 180.

Thanks for any help!

What is the protein content of each product? The bars are too high in fat but the oatmeal MIGHT be ok as a restricted item depending on the protein per serving.

Thanks scorbett protein is 16 grams. A bit bummed was hoping the soups would work for husband, but they all fall in restricted catagory. Doubt he will be willing to use soup as his restricted.

That's plenty of protein, so the oatmeal would be fine to use. Too bad about the soups, those are definitely something I wouldn't want to waste my restricted "treat" on Good luck!

Thanks for your help. It seems there are some crispy rice bars that work under restricted so might be able to save a few bucks getting those.

Congrats to all that have done so well. I am striving for the same. I am stuck with a loss of 1lb a week and i am following the diet. No Cheating !. I am getting discouraged. My hours were cut on my job. That $100 a week is killer). $100 per 1lb makes it harder. I am looking at other weight loss programs that or more affordable. I really want to stay on this one. Hoping things work in my favor.

I also replied on the other thread you posted on.

I had a paycut a couple of weeks into IP and switched to alternative products due to the cost of IP. There are plenty of threads on here about alternative products you can use as a substitute for the actual IP ones.

I just placed an order with Nashua Nutrition for 3 weeks worth of packets and it was around $115 total. So the savings are significant.

Default Vitamins

Before I left for the States for 3 months, I went to see my Clinic. They analyzed my blood and said I didn't need the multi-vita, potassium-calcium or the cal-mag anymore.

Yesterday I found a clinic here in Port Richey! They told me I definitely do[U[/U] need them. I bought some multi-vita as well as some food products.

What do you think? Do I need all three? I'm going back again next week for more products and will buy the other two if you think I should.

Lovin' Florida !!!

If you go to www.plainprotein.com, they have all the IP products and their nutritional values.
