Good Morning and Greetings from Oregon:-). This is my second day on alternative IP. I am grateful for this forum as the IP coach...and there is only one in our area, is awful. I lost weight but dreaded seeing her. I ordered my food through Nashua Nutrition a few months ago and continued to loose. My DH and I sold our country home and moved into town over the holidays. My plan went right out the window for two months but yesterday back on it with cupboard stocked. I am envious of those who have an IP Clinic and Coach. Maybe another one will open up in our area. She could use some competition! I have lost 50 pounds with another 35 to go. I appreciate having this forum. Thanks for the support:-).

I've been OP since I started IP 3 and a 1/2 weeks ago and except for the first couple of days I've felt great. Well yesterday my DH and I were at the grocery store picking up more veggies and all of a sudden I felt extremely lightheaded and thankfully had the cart there to hang on to. When DH walked up he took one look at my face and said all the colour had left me and he could tell I was on the verge of passing out. He went and grabbed a bottle of water and helped me out to the car. I felt like that all day. I've made an app't with my Doctor as I'm on blood pressure meds so wondering if perhaps my BP has dropped due to IP.....with meds I sit at 110/70 usually so if I dropped lower I wonder if that could have caused that. It was not a pleasant feeling at all. Nothing else had varied in my plan....I've followed the plan 100%.

I hope the Dr can give you some insight and hope you don't feel like that again!

WELP... I pretty much blew it last night. Way to self sabotage! Couldn't resist the boneless wings and tiny brownie bites and while I definitely ate less than I would have before IP, I did not stay on plan. Woke up this morning SUPER bloated and with a tummy ache. Here goes day one all over again .

In it to win it til the end!

Having Rainbow's Rutabaga Bisque for dinner tonight!! YUM!

My daughter is home and wants to go to Panera for lunch. I really don't want a salad, or use my protein. I am debating bringing a restrict bar and having a decaf, fat free cappuccino. But there goes my nightly snack ritual. (I know, high maintenence)

We are going to look at a kitty to adopt and then home and do some laundry!!

Have a great day everyone!!

It's really not the spiciness so much as the Sweetness of the Jicama, the tartness from the lime, and the combination of Chili and sea salt. That whole combination sets off my taste buds. My mouth is watering now just thinking about it. Time to go buy more Jicama this afternoon...LOL

Hi Everyone. I've been reading that people really like doing their restricted snack between dinner and bedtime. What time do you normally eat dinner and then go to bed? I guess maybe I eat dinner late (around 7:30 or 8 because of work and school) and I am so hungry that I feel like I need to have a snack between lunch and dinner. Any thoughts? Thanks!

If it were me and I couldnt eat until 7:30 or 8, I would then have the snack between lunch and dinner.

Default My first "whoosh"

I thought my weight loss had stalled, and I was getting upset about it. No movement on the scale in 9 days. Then yesterday morning it was down 2 lb and this morning down 1/2 more pound. That's awesome! I feel so good today!

This weekend I made rutabaga fries, and loved them. I will try the jicama next. They were at the market right next to the rutabagas (I'd never had them before, but they're really similar to the turnips I grew up eating that my dad grew in the garden.) The rutabaga fries curbed that craving for french fries I've been having the last couple of weeks.

Thank god I stayed totally OP and didn't cheat even when I was getting discouraged!

Happy Monday everyone!

I work 3-11 and eat between 7-8pm. I always have my restricted when I come home between 12am and 1am. I NEED it then because that was my time to graze and overeat the most. You have to do what works for you!

I have my snack between lunch and dinner which curbs my hunger until I get home. Dinner isn't usually till at least 7pm by the time DH finishes cooking (I don't cook much) and I found that I don't need anything after that.

Heading out of town for my work's annual conference. 9 day work trip! I'm nervous--first, most people who will be there haven't seen me since last year (ie: pre-IP!).

Second, I'm of course nervous about food. I know I can stay OP, but I won't be preparing my own meals so I'm nervous about that given the length of time. I'll try and do you all proud!!

Default I'm Back

Morning, I haven't been on in a while but reading every day...but I'm back.
I was stalled for about 5 weeks so my coach and I worked out plan to get things going again...I was drinking to much water (yes you can drink too much) so we cut it back and cut out soy sauce and restricted stuff. and in just two days I'm down 2lbs....yippeee
can't wait to see what the scale says at the end of the week.

everyone have a great day

I didn't know what Jicama looked like or how to pronouce it right! I went to the vegetable stand and the sign said jicama and other sign said yucca. The girls at the register didn't know which is was either. I bought it anyway and turns out it was yucca - which is worse than potatos so I gave it to someone at work. So I still haven't tried Jicama but will keep looking for it. I did try Zuccini for the first time yesterday.
