Melissa and Angie, it dawned on me that I'm a 1/4 French Canadian! Also 1/4 Portuguese and my dad is 100% Irish. So I'm 1/2 Irish too. Just thinking I should catch on to Canadian slang pretty easily...???

Maggie, if you are 1/4 Canadian, then speaking Canadian should be super easy for you, eh? And stay safe, I can't believe the amount of snow you're supposed to get! That's more than the Great White North is supposed to get!!!

Good morning Ladies. Just saying hi!
Getting ready for the weekend, we're also in the midst of a snow storm, but nothing like what Maggie's supposed to get.
Hope everyone has a good day!

Good morning all!
Maggie - buckle down, get that fire going, get some nice wine and some good music ... a nice cozy blanket! Awe - wouldn't that be nice! I agree that you should be able to nail the Canadian thing!!!
We're aimed to get about a foot ... but they never really know do they!?!

I've decided (because I'm jealous of Maggie right now) that tonight I'm going to go off the cellulite thing and have a steak!!! Yep - get the fire going, rent a good movie, Steak and salad for me, Steak, salad and fries for the guys and maybe a glass of wine! That will give me enough to keep me going on this for another week - it's tough!

Angie, go for it!! You've been givn'er for weeks and if a steak and a glass (or two) of wine is what you need to get through this, then do it!! Maybe on Monday you can describe how amazing it all was and then I can live vicariously through you!!!

LOL - That's what I was afraid of doing through Maggie - So maybe YOU should have a nice comfy night too! Steak is OP for you!
I actually am really looking forward to the wine - my boss surprised me today with a 2007 Clois Du Bois Marlstone - super yummy!!!!! But I bet I'll be a cheap date

Very nice! My boss is a bit of a douchebag and the thought of even just saying the words "thank you" has probably never even crossed his mind, let alone buy someone something even as small as a coffee would never happen!! You're very lucky to work for such a great person. Jealous!!

Update...we're now expected to get 24 + feet of snow!!!
Hopefully if we lose power it won't be for too long...

Holy **** - really hope you meant to say inches!!! Course if it was a guy announcing it I'm sure it'll be much "smaller" - ha ha just sayin
Hope everyone has a fantastic Friday - don't believe we are in for anymore snow than usual this weekend. Blew it a bit last night, dh brought home sweet potato tortilla chips - large fricken costco bag so I had a bowl of them.... course they are technically healthier than real potato chips
Everyone sounds like they'll be enjoying a nice steak and wine tonight - actually sounds like a plan. I opened a bottle a week ago for a goulash recipe and I'd really hate for it to go bad ... hmmmm

Thin, I have to agree with you, isn't that "alcohol abuse" if you let a nice bottle of wine go bad???

Fire is roaring, snow is falling! Wine will be poured soon.
Georgia is snuggling with dh on the floor... I tried snuggling with him earlier and Remi pushed me away from him!!! He literally nuzzled his nose right between us!!! It was quite funny and cute.
Hope all are doing great today, eh!
