I use to come on this fourm and just read to get ideas for my own weight loss. I found that reading about peoples past experiences, let downs and successes helped me through my journey. Feel free to take the time to read my story and ill try and figure out how to post pictures :P
I was always a heavier kid, all throughout my childhood I was told that I was just built with big bones. Then I got into high school where I reached my highest weight of 234, im not exactly sure of the date this was I just remember seeing that horrible number on the scale. I NEEDED to do something about this but didnt know where to start. I tried all the FAD diets where you ate next to nothing.. but that just turned into binge eating cause I couldnt stick to it. Gradually my weight went up and down, I started going to the gym but wasn't able to motivate myself enough to go on a regular basis cause it was more embaressing then ever being a "bigger" girl at the gym. Eventually my mom and I started using the diet program called ********. There was nothing wrong with it, infact I lost just over 20 pounds on it. Only thing was that it gave you to much freedom during lunch and we definatly took full advantage of that.
In January last year my mom started Ideal Protein, my sister was pregnant and my mom thought she could eat whatever she wanted and she gained 30 pounds. So she started Ideal Protein and was on it for 2 weeks and was already seeing the numbers go down. We had also had a trip to Cancun planned for mid April last year so that was motivation. I started Ideal Protein weighing in at 195.6.
It was tough at first but we had an awesome consultant who made you feel so comfortable and was very motivating so it made it much easier. It was exciting to go to every weigh in because even if you only lost 1.5 pounds the inches would be insane!
I did Ideal protein for 12 weeks straight and lost 39.2 pounds. After my trip to Mexico I ended up getting a really great job but it was out of town and I ate a whole bunch if fast food so I put about 13 pounds on.
I then met my boyfriend a few months before Christmas and was living the "bachelor lifestyle" which was take out all the time and drinking and sweets. After Christmas I told myself that I wasn't going to be the girl that let myself get away because my boyfriend was able to eat bad. SO I started back on Ideal Protein officially on January 13, 2012 and man it was hard! when I started I was around 167.. TODAY I had my weigh in and I weighed in at 156.4, so I have officially lost all my christmas and working away weight that I put on and am going to reach my goal once and for all of 145. Im not sure how I will feel when I get there but if I feel like I can do it im going to try to reach 135. But id be stoked with 145 because it has been my goal for a few years.

Wow! I am a newbie to IP, and my starting weight was 242# (2.5 days ago). My goal weight is 150# and you are SUCH an inspiration!!
