Today was my week 4 WI and I lost another 4 pounds :-) This week was difficult as I had to put to sleep one of my dogs so the emotional eating thing was pretty tempting. I had a slight bobble but did not let it get me off track completely and forged ahead the next day. Congrats on all the scale and NSV victories that everyone is posting!

Wow Scorbett nice work! I am so happy for everyone who is doing so well with IP. It is great to find something that works for so many people.
I am back at the gym 4-5 times a week and my body is toning nicely. My coaches have me elevate the treadmill so that it is a walk up hill rather than a jog and up my weights to 8 slow motion reps for 3 cycles. I find I can do a decent routine in 40 minutes with about 5 minutes of stretching.

My game plan is to stay in phase 1 for Feb and phase off in march. I have studied and will adopt an eating approach that is based on a diet my mother created for herself. At 75 years old she lost her last 20 pounds after Adkins eating "her"diet. Ad has maintained for more than 20 years. My IP center will allow me to keep some of their products in my diet and return to phase 1 whenever I need to if I am moving the wrong weigh. They have us go in monthly for as long as we want to weigh. I like that accountability!

Not IP related... but my mom always says" "If you're not going to buy fresh veggies, buy frozen... never canned." Frozen locks in the vitamins.. where as canned is full of preservatives and crap.

And you know what they say... Mom's are always right. Especially my Italian mother... she lives in the kitchen. lol

Way to go Scorbett on being so close to goal. That's great!

I am now seeing what everyone is talking about when it comes to TOM. I have never been one to own a scale or want to know my weight. Even with both pregnancies I did not want the doctor to tell me my starting weight and each visit I would say tell me how much I gained but not the total. Major denial. Well now I am checking. And I snuck a look on my sisters scale 4 days after first weigh in to show 2lbs up. Which could just be a different scale, but then TOM came that night. Hoping this water retention gone for weigh in tomorrow, but if not then I know next week will be better according to all the advice. So am metally prepared for possibly no loss. On another TOM note, I felt like crap yesterday. Headache really bad and just zapped of all energy, but better today. Have a great day everyone.

Scorbett...Congrats on getting *this* close to goal, that's amazing and I'm inspired by you.

I have 13 pounds to get to goal. I have a quick question for you though. Did you plan your goal to give yourself a buffer? As in, you are getting to 160lbs, knowing you will level out at 165 lbs once you start phasing off or are you hoping to stay at 160lbs?

I'm just trying to figure out how best to determine my goal and final weight. My coach has indicated that once I finish Phase 4, it's not uncommon to have about 5 lbs (for my body type and based on what I lost the first week) to come back on and to be prepared for it. Did you consider that when choosing your goal?

I'm hoping to get to 160, like you, but will be happy to level out at 165...just wondering if that's realistic and see what others are/have planned for.

Congrats again!

Default Delish Pasta Salad had to share!

Hi IPeeps!

I hope you're all having great days. This morning I woke up early and prepared myself a special lunch. I just got the Rotini and am LOVING it. I feel like I am eating a MEAL as opposed to just a snack or drink.

Here's my pasta salad recipe (i'll post in one of the recipe threads as well):

Ingredients:
1 package of IP rotini
1 5oz can of white meat albacore tuna
1 cup of spinach
1/2 cup of cherry tomatoes (halved)
1/2 cup of white onion (diced)
1/4 cup of WF Caesar Dressing

Directions:
1. Make pasta according to package instructions and shock with cold water to stop cooking
2. Toss in veggies and coat with WF dressing.
3. Chill and enjoy today and then tomorrow!

*I also think I might add a few of the dill pickle zippers as a crunchy crouton topping. If you do this, do it as soon as you are ready to eat, don't store with them as they'll become soggy.

Yields: 2 servings

We have such a busy week a school and I am in charge of all the crazy activities that are happening, so I am super stressed which isn't helping. I just want to get to Friday afternoon

I hope everyone else has a fabulous OP day!
Work has been batshit crazy lately and I have told people under no circumstances will I not take a break to have my dinner. My health comes 1st right now. Keep some snacks handy and remember you have to come 1st right now!! (((hugs)))
