Once the user's profile shows up, click on 'Add as friend'. You can include a short message in your friend request if you want. As many people have different MFP user names, I think it's helpful to identify yourself as an IP'er from 3FC.
I accepted your Pal request. Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions. I try to update it daily.

I want to set mine up this way also. Can i do it from my phone or do I have to go onto the full site on my laptop?

MFP automatically syncs to your phone, laptop, and ipad (if you have them!).

You can set your daily calorie goal from the app, but I think you need to go to the online version to set protein, carb, fat, etc. targets.

You have to do it from the full site. Login, go to Goals-> Change Goals-> Custom. I set my calories at 800, carbs 20% (40g), protein 50% (100g), fat 30% (27g). The changes will sync to your smartphone app.

i love mfp. i put all my food in in the morning so that i don't deviate from it. i find that this makes me more accountable as i'm tired of restarting IP all the time (i've been doing it with alternatives and no coach) and find myself finding it tough to stay OP come that first weekend Back in the saddle and almost 4 weeks in....

If you are just setting up your account, I suggest to set it up like mine with the 6 different times for eating or snacks. It makes it much easier to track and see where you missed times.

You can only change the settings on your goals from a desktop/laptop computer, not the mobile site. But once you make the change from there, everything will sync up on the mobile versions too.

I love MFP. Logging my food and exercise every day is what's really keeping me on track more than anything else. Most of the food is in the database, so it's really easy to add items.

I'm kind of doing my own calorie counting thing now, and just using some of the IP products, the non-soy ones like the wildberry shake to supplement.

I'm pamcplymouth if anyone wants to friend me there, and my diary is public as well. I love seeing what other people are eating and what's working for them.

Hi, I'm new here, also looking to add friends to MFP. My username is astracy

I've been on IP for 2 1/2 weeks, my husband has done it before and wanted me to join so we can motivate each other. I like logging on MFP to keep me in the habit and keep me accountable.
