Red face IP could make you extremely fertile?!

Yes, that's right! Yesterday my IP coach (who is also a friend of mine) told me that this diet could make me extremely fertile! I guess what this diet does is it changes your body from an acidic state to an alkaline state.... where people are most fertile. I guess her boss found that out the hard way and is currently on maternity leave. Wierd! I haven't done any further research on this yet, buuuut I think my husband and I will be extra safe from now on!

Yes, be aware as well that BC pills alone are not sufficient on this diet.

Below is some text from a document produced by a big IP site regarding female reproductive hormones and IP:

Birth control pills and contraceptive patches

These prescription methods of birth control work by altering the hormone levels of the woman so as to make fertilization impossible. Again, because estrogens (and other hormone-like substances) can be released by the fat cells during the weight loss phases of the Program, premenopausal women should be instructed to use a 'back-up' method of contraception if a pregnancy is not desired. It would be prudent to continue this practice until they have been in Phase 4 for at least one month.

Sheesh! I wish I had know this back in 1998, when it took me more than 2 years to get pregnant!
Oh well, it's good to know to be more prudent now. My son is 11, I am 45, and that "2nd child" ship has definitely sailed!

All of us PCOS-ters who have fertility issues embrace this diet. I would love to end up with a big belly in trying to lose my big belly!

I'm 38 too, and have never gotten preggo... but we've been trying for 2 years now with zero success. Maybe this is the year! Go IP!

It's the insulin resistance that wreaks havoc with your hormones. It's an endocrine teeter-totter inside and insulin throws everything out of whack!! This diet will surely help you conceive esp. If you have PCOS!

I hope it will happen to me too, my biggest dream is to be a mom, I am almost 40 now and still hope for it to happen, but I don't have high hopes anymore after a failed IUI and a failed IVF!

Thats why I've started this diet. I had 3 failed IVFs and the month I started IP my 4th IVF worked. Sadly I m/c but I'm back in hopes that if I drop more weight I'll get pg on my own! I hate pcos!

Are you a male? (I only ask because of your user name). The increased fertility is only true for women, thanks to the extra estrogen floating around on our systems because of the rapid fat loss. Women store estrogen in their fat cells
