Perfectly said! Following protocol is so worth it. Just 12 days and my clothes are already looser. Makes me not want to cheat.

Thanks so much for the post!!
I just finished Day 8! My mood varies from hour to hour. lol. Sometimes I feel super confident and that this time I'm really gonna accomplish my goals! Other times I feel like keeping this up for months and months seems so daunting.

However, I can say that 8 days in and 8 pounds gone (forever!) I am already feeling amazing! More energy, better sleep and my clothes are fitting better. I'm hoping that this feeling will keep me going.

Kaylae, you can do this! I wish I had done this at your age, and dealt with the food issues I've had all my life. And don't be ashamed of your weight (I know this is much easier said than done). There are reasons for it (emotional, etc.) that are part of you, and hopefully, this life change will help you deal with those issues.

Stick with IP, and you will see such changes in your body and your life, and this is a great way for your daughter to learn about food also.

Good luck!
Thank you so much for the encouragement! I am so glad I made the decision to do this for myself and my daughter. I think I can, I think can, I think I can

Thanks for this. I haven't felt daunted so far (just started) but I suspect I will in the weeks/months to come as I have at last 100 pounds to lose.

I have about 167 which seemed daunting, but the quick progress with ideal seems to make it possible.

Keep up the encouragement!
Jensyd....my headaches subsided on day 4 or 5 and then had a literal burst of energy. The energy wavers and somedays I feel fatiqued but the first 4 days were definitely the worst. I'm a huge fan of the Strawberry Wafer! I make sure and eat it on a plate so that I don't lose any crumbs! And on the unrestricted items.. one of my favorites is the chicken ala king. I cook cauliflower and broccoli and add it to it and it reminds me of pot pie filling. Especially good on cold winter days and very filling. I'm with you on the Mango Smoothie....too thick for my tastes but I really like Strawberry-Banana Drink. Not nearly as think. Just some ideas.... Take it day to day and come to this website when you're feeling overwhelmed...it really helps!!

Good for you for taking the first step....I think that's the hardest part! One thing that has helped me is I stopped looking at the total I need to lose and just focus on that next number ending with 9. So...when I was in the 200's I was aiming for 199. Now that I made that....I'm shooting for 189. It seems to make it not such a huge hill to climb. Good Luck....I'm sure you'll do fabulous.

I just had "chocolate cookies" for the first time in awhile. For those who haven't found the recipes yet, you mix the pudding with 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1 egg white, and enough water to turn into a thick but "droppable" paste. You have to spread the batter into a thinner cookie. Cook on parchment paper at 350 for 8 minutes. One pack makes 4 big or 6 smaller cookies. Mmmmm...
I'm telling you --if you add egg white and baking soda to any pack, you can bake it into something. It's a $4 error if you let those babies burn tho!

And for all the newbies (like I was last month) please read the "Stickies". Truly a wealth of information. Enjoy
