Default Miracle Noodles

So i'm curious, before i place an order, what are everyone's REAL feelings about Miracle Noodles? Are they worth it?

I personally thought they were disgusting and i stalled on them. I would recommend the IP rotini.

What ones did you get? The ones made with Tofu or the ones without ? The ones made from tofu have calories where as the ones made strictly from yams do not. The smell of them at first is a little strange. But if you rinse them off under the tap, and boil them for a few minutes, they act like tofu-- taste changes to what you're cooking them with. Personally I've made a chicken salad using the noodles, chicken pieces, feta cheese, cucumbers, celery, onions and some spices. Along with a light, low fat dressing. They honestly take on the flavour of what you're cooking with.

Some people obviously have different taste buds. But the fact that a serving of elbow pasta is around 200 calories give or take, this is well worth it. GIVEN, that it's cooked properly.

But again everybodys taste buds are different. I'd rather eat "real" pasta too, but its a small sacrifice.

I agree, if you prepare them well, meaning rinse them for 2 minutes and boil them for 2 minutes, they become pretty tasteless and take on whatever flavor you then use. I use strong flavors with them to mask any lingering fishy smell. While regular pasta tastes better, this works to provide bulk which I personally find helpful. Ketosis makes me less hungry but still hungry since my snacking is so minimal on IP.

They were clearish/greyish - gelatinous and made from a mushroom i think. They were the brand called Miracle Noodles. And when we told our coach about them she called the Corporate office of IP to get their opinion and they said save them for stage 4.

I bought some early on and never warmed to them until recently. 2 ways that I like them: the angel hair style are like rice noodles and somewhere in the threads I found a recipe for a hot or cold sesame peanut noodle salad that I make with them and love.
the other way is the rice size and I put them into pudding packets to make something like a tapioca pudding. I prefer it in the butterscotch with gingerbread spices so its like pumpkin / gingerbread tapioca.

Can you share your recipe for the sesame peanut noodle salad? Sounds yummy. I have usually just cooked them like stir fry.

HOT OR COLD SESAME NOODLES
- 1 or 2 7oz. bags of Miracle Noodle (the less noodles you use, the more the sauce is distributed, and the more flavorful the noodles are)
- 1/4 rounded cup Walden Farms peanut spread, softened in microwave 15 seconds
- 2 tbsp. cider or rice vinegar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tsp. dark sesame oil
- 2 tbsp. Hot Chili sauce
- 2 cups shredded Chinese cabbage and kohlrabi
- 1 tsp. sesame seeds
- 1 cup bean sprouts
- 4 scallions, chopped
Directions:
Open bag of Miracle Noodles into a colander and rinse with cold water for a couple of minutes and boil for one minute, pat dry with a paper towel or small hand towel. Cut noodles with scissors to make smaller pieces. In the bottom of a large bowl, whisk together soy, peanut butter, vinegar, sesame oil, and hot sauce. Add noodles and veggies and toss to combine the noodles and coat them evenly with sauce.
Sprinkle scallions and sesame seeds throughout the salad and serve. Or you can heat the sauce for a couple of minutes in a sauce pan, then add noodles and serve hot!
