You may be surprised - before I had kids, I was in a size 12 at 165lbs. I am currently just above 180 and I've been wearing a LOT of my old size 12 pants for two weeks now!!! I thought I'd just aim for getting back into that size, but now I'm thinking the size will be a lot lower when I hit goal! The weight comes off differently on this diet than any other I've been on!

Finally made roasted cauliflower as my 2 cups to go along with my EAS shake. It was amazing! I'm going to make more for dinner lol.

Shoot! I was going to try that today but forgot to buy kale! Last time I tried I put too much salt on it and tossed the whole pan. I know I need to try again because so many people like it!

Hey Scorbett,
Put some sparkling water with a lime or lemon slice in a nice wine glass and toast to your success! You deserve it! Congrats on your progress and your decision to stay OP through the holidays. You will be so happy when you hit goal. Enjoy your Thanksgiving with your family!

I really appreciate the support on this group, I am sure I will need it in the weeks/months to come.

That's a great WI. Keep up the good work.

I'm glad to see that np2lose has only been on the diet for a week and already is not hungry. How long did it take you all to feel comfortable with the diet and food intake?

Welcome to you both!

Way to go! So happy for you!

My WI-6 this week was 1.8lbs. I was hoping to break 2 but a loss is a loss, right? I've been a 3 lbs a week (plus a few ounces some wks) loser until this week. No big loss weeks for me but I am 100% OP so I'm telling myself it's ok to be someone who doesn't have big weeks. I do realize now that I may not make my 35 by Christmas mini-goal (or even my 20 by Thanksgiving) but it will be very close probably if I don't make it. Have you ever missed a goal, and what did you tell yourself to make it feel better?

Thanks!!! I definitely will enjoy myself, I have a particular water flavoring that I save for "special" occasions so that will be coming with me!

Nice job - if the hungries are really getting to you, don't forget that you can have 2 egg whites as a "freebie" - a little egg white omelet has gotten me out of MANY tough spots!

I think God invented cauliflower just so we could roast it. Try tossing it with lemon, olive oil and garlic.

What do Kale chips taste like? Do they have a strong vegetable flavor? What, if anything, do you season them with? Of all the things I miss on IP, I miss potato chips the most, but probably I am mostly missing the saltiness and the crunch, not the potato itself. I'd love to find a good substitute cuz this could be a challenge for me when I get to maintenance and I'd rather solve the problem in a healthy way.

Chug, chug, chugging my last 32 oz of water for the day. Should have started earlier I'm going to be up using the little ladies room tonight...too bad I procrastinated

Maybe IP needs to market one of those silly hats that you load beverages into, only we may need a water backpack too. I mean, 2 "cans" of water just wouldn't cut it Okay, maybe it's not that funny, but it sure tickles my funny bone right now

Here's to another great OP week! Can't wait to see how my body changes in another week!

I attended some longevity lectures by medical professor. He said there was a strong correlation between long life and extremely physically demanding activity. He cited a 104 year old Navajo woman who was in the hospital were he taught. He stopped in to visit her and learned that she was a child during the trail of tears forced march. Why was she in the hospital at 104? She had an infection in her foot due to a splinter she got while chopping firewood! 104 and she is chopping her own firewood...that's what I call a physically demanding life.
