Default Week 5 WI.....not what I was hoping for

I actually gained a pound. I am trying not to let it discourage me. I was totally on plan. My Coach did not see any reason why I gained. In fact she had me do a cleanse this week and was expecting a big loss.

I have not had my TOM for 6 weeks. That could be part of the problem. I only want to lose another 10 lbs so maybe this is normal.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

My plan is to be super careful this week. The only difference last week to this one was the cleanse and this week I drank herbal tea every day. It was fruit flavored and maybe that had something to do with it

Bolt~ Sorry about the weight gain. Surely it has something to do with not having your period on time. Could you be pregnant? Even not, there are a lot of things going on in our bodies such as adjusting to weight loss. Try not to worry about it, my bet is that you will probably see the loss next week. Are you drinking your water? I would just keep doing what you are doing...don't let that scale get into your head. (I suffer from that stupid scale too.) Hugs to you...

Please don't be discouraged.

10 pounds to goal sounds heavenly, lot of people around the world would love to be in your shoes.

TOM is probably holding water, have you thought about taking pictures, to see if you are losing inches?

Don't be discouraged! The closer you get to goal, the harder it is. I would stop the cleanse. If you are having BM problems, I would try Magnesium Citrate.

Tricks I have also done in the past to help my weight get moving again
- drink only water. Add lemons. Do not add any flavor enhancers, no coffee, tea, etc... JUST water
- Limit restricteds. I would not eat a restricted for a few days, then add one in, then take it out again. It seemed to "shake things up" and throw the body off
- If you are eating the limited veggies that you are allowed 2x per week, don't eat them this week

Just try to do a few things that would shake it up, but still allow you to be OP. Your body will adapt very easily and sometimes it needs to be thrown off track.

Also, regarding your TOM, IP definitely messes with your hormones. Is there a chance you could be pregnant? If not, you are just going to have to wait it out and it is very possible that you are retaining a ton of water.

No I am not pregnant and if I am there would be alot of explaining to do to my hubby

I am drinking 120 ounces of water per day.

I never have veggies off the restricted list.

I only drink 1 cup of decaf in the morning. I am going to eliminate all teas this week.

Sorry for the confusion it was the Magnesium Citrate that I used last Sunday.

When they measured me at my appointment I had not lost any inches last week.

I am actually doing OK with this. I would have loved to have lost last week but these things happen.

Thanks for all the tips I am going to try them and see if it does any good. I don't want to try to many things because then I won't know which one works for me. So for this week no restricted veggies (which I never have any way) and no teas. If that doesn't work the following week I will limit my restricted.

The good news is I have a plan and it is not to give up!

You did not say how much you lost already. The body naturally takes some time to adjust after a period of losses and it likely had nothing to do with what you ate this week as you were following the plan as usual.

Are you doing the IP cleanse?
You will likely get a bit of a whoosh when you are done.
Whoosh being relative, of course, as in 3 lbs when you typically see 2 or 2.5 lbs when you typically see 1.
The last 10 definitely take the longest for some (like me!) but it does happen.

I find that if I'm stuck at a weight for a while, I have a nice big steak and it helps with a big weight loss the next day. Yes, (shhhh) I weigh myself daily!!! Could just be my body's reaction though...

When I was on the hcg diet, a steak day was one of the main correction methods for a stall or gain

I bet your loss will be big. I also was very late for TOM and gained 2lbs last week but since getting TOM I have been down 1.5-2 lbs PER DAY. So, even if I do not lose anymore between now and weigh in Tuesday I will have averaged 2.5lbs lost per week even with the big gain....the joys of womanhood.

I LOVE steak. I worry because I eat it a lot, so I am glad to hear that it helps some of you. I feel like we should be eating chicken breast and fish every day but sometimes steak is the only thing that keeps me sane when others are eating delicious food around me
