Default Extracts

So what's the verdict on extracts and the alcohol in them? I see many people posting the use of them, and apparently not having any problems, but I'd like to make sure before I mess something up. Thanks!

Personally, I stayed away from them. I bought vanilla powder and used that instead of vanilla extract. It's a little hard to find. I love cinnamon and use a lot of that. That being said, the amount of an extract that one uses is so small that the amount of alcohol shouldn't affect you. If you're going to use them, do so infrequently and in small amounts.

I'm late to this party! I'm in Lafayette, LA, go to Body Sculptors in Broussard. So happy to see this thread. Just returning from a cruise, where I went completly off plan, gained 6lbs. Back on track, lost 2 of those this weekend. I'll officially go for post-cruise WI this Friday.. I can't say enough how this plan has changed my life, I had forgotten how much I loved the water, beach, pools, slides...would never have allowed myself to do that at my previous weight (wrong thinking I know). I had not been to the beach or in a pool in over 15 years. I'm focused to get to goal weight and never look back!!

Awesome! I went to NSU for college. I know they had homecoming this weekend. I love Natchitoches.

Apparently those are not on the diet!
Hi! I'm from Bunkie, so not far from you. I miss home. You're doing great...keep it up!

GREAT IDEA! For all of those in Baton Rouge - lets get together and open a business that serves "to go" dinners for IP!!! We'd make a fortune!

Started my week 2 today. This morning, I had my first official weigh in since starting and I am down 9 POUNDS! I was so excited to hear that, especially since I went to a baby shower this weekend and HAD to have a piece of cake! Literally, the cake was just 4 bites. It was half of a half. Lol. Which, I of course told my coach.

Anyway, I was just so excited and had to share!

Just completed W2 - lost 3 lbs, 1 1/2 " and 4% body fat! I go to Downtown Physical Therapy on Highland - across from Country Club of La. I work out at Woman's, but DPT doesn't charge the $200 consultation fee, so I went with them. Also, they sell individual packets so you can get a variety each time, which is very helpful.

Has anyone purchased one of the IP recipe books? Just wondering if it's worth it, or if I can do just as well with the recipes on this board.

Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

maezy1, that sounds like a great idea! Tell me when we start

IPbeginnerNOLA, Congrats on your weight loss!! Some days this diet is hard and some days it "a piece of cake" hehehe... I'm allowed to make that joke, I'm a cake decorator!

sstw1, you can search the forum and find kinds of great recipes.
Here is a link to a book a member kaypix put together...

sstw1 - follow the RAINBOW! literally check her posts and you will find unbelievable recipes. Ive made cookies and muffins, ok so they don't look like the CC's type but they taste delicious! Honestly I hate to think what a Coffee Call Morning Glory muffin or a CC's muffin would do to me right now!
