Cap-be prepared to have one tough day at the gym. This Time round I totally hit a wall on about day 5-I did a class in the morning instead of the afternoon and forgot to have my shake first. It was brutal. I made it through, but I felt like my arms and legs were lead. I did Pilates the next day and then resumed my regular workout with no issues.
So, if you really feel tired for a day consider it a warning you might need a very short break! I suffered the entire day and would have killed for a chocolate bar!

Mom2cs- I totally bailed in Zumba today. Was shuffling back & to the side and the next thing I know I'm kissing the floor. My energy is good but my coordination was definitely lacking. I'll try having a restricted before I workout and see if that helps the fog a bit. Love your pic by the way!

Thanks!
Yes, the quick drops in blood sugar can be hard in the first week or so. Once it lifts everything seems so much easier.

I am so happy I found this thread. I recognize many of you from last year and it's good to see u. I gained back 20 of the 47 lbs I lost and now I am back on IP doing alternatives. I have lost 19 of those lbs but it is so so so slow this time around. I am it discouraged by it but it's jut taking time for me to get this off. My goal is to drop another 20 and see how I feel.
Good luck to all!

Kelly - I would suggest that you take more of a phase 2 approach if you don't want to use IP or Alternative products. For breakfast, you could have eggs and egg whites (scrambled, omlet), lunch 8oz meat with 2 cups veggies, dinner 8oz meat with 2 cups veggies.

Good morning rebooters! I hopped on the scale this morning but no change from my last WI, which is disappointing, but definately feeling like my pants are fitting better. WI's not until Saturday so we'll see how the next couple of days go.
Have a great day everyone!

Still plugging along here as well. I did a sneak peak at the scale yesterday and it was down to 137, so I am hoping that it will be down a little more come Saturday morning (official weigh in).
I can already tell that even though I am not quite at my goal weight yet, I am definintely losing something because the skirt I am wearing today is feeling awfully close to the way it used to.

If you not want to use ip products or alternatives you may find the reboot slow. It's tough to get enough protein out of eggs, meat, fish, etc and keep the calories low.
I find even using whey protein as a snack helps keep protein up.

The scale was my friend today too. 150. I like 145-148, but at least it's movin done! Clearly only I can see the last few pound difference anyway-unless I am wearing a bikini lol!
Off to bootcamp.

Kelly I would have to agree with mom2cs that a reboot is better done with IP products.
I was tired yesterday evening and that always makes me feel hungry when I wouldn't normally. Fought through it and went to bed early. I'm staying away from bars this week and perhaps next. So used chili as my restricted and served it on cauliflower rice. So, so good
My go to breakfast has been a spinach IP shake. Typically I just use the cappaccino packet but this morning branched out and used the chocolate with coffee in place of some of the water. Definitely a mochaccino type flavor that I quite liked.
Congrats Mom, Jenny & Melissa on the scale movement it just seems right when hard work is rewarded!
Stolaf hang in there! Your losses on a per week basis may seem slow but 20 pounds in 2 months is nothing to sniff at- great job!

Capricious - boy, did I need to hear you put my weight loss into perspective. I kept thinking that my loss was a snails pace but it is true that 20 lbs in 2 months is pretty darn good. Thanks for that boost when I needed it!!

It took me two months to lose 15 pounds. I did Body for Life in 2008, and it took me five months to get where I am now. It's slow compared to people with more to lose, but for me and my 48-y/o body, I pick IP!

Sounds like there is a lot of scale and inches movement going on for us rebooters! Yippee! Thank goodness, huh?
I also have to agree that rebooting without packets is going to be very challenging. And I think it will be hard to control calories. My recommendation is to reboot as P1 is written and then as you progress through the phases, you will naturally begin to eliminate packets, and then do maintenance without packets.
