The deeper the colour the more carbs. BUT...they're still okay!

I have red peppers at least three times a week (and yellow or orange during the week too) and have lost over 120lbs in 6.5 months. I think you'll be fine.

The proof is in the pudding! Your weight loss is phenomenal! Congratulations and I say, bring on the peppers!

Well, I'm the one who posted my coach said no to them. Thank you for all the responses here, I'm going to keep eating them!!! What about yellow zuchinni, also called summer squash or crooked neck squash? She also said I couldn't eat that......

It is only winter squashes that are not allowed. That is fine with me after I learned on here that winter sqashes are the ones with thick hard shells that I find so hard to cut into.

I think someone better give your coach an up to date protocol sheet.

Yellow squash pattypan and zucchini are summer squash, and fine to eat. Winter squash (Butternut, acorn, pumpkin, etc) are much MUCH higher in carbs from natural sugars and those are not allowed.

Yep, as said above, yellow/summer squashes are allowed (similar to zucchini squash). I love them, and eat them a lot. They are both low in carbs.

Good to hear. I think my sheet, not the new one, said twice a week but honestly there are much worse things for you to be eating than bell peppers. Good to see they changed that. I do miss carrots!

I continued to follow the protocol that was in place when I began and always ate red/yellow/orange peppers and didn't consider cukes or celery as free. My losses were just fine!
