Girly Question.....
In a nut shell, I am on a high dose birth control pill and missed one pill and got my period two days later :( I am contemplating if I should just go off the pill for a few months or if I should contact my doctor to switch pills. Has anyone had to deal with this issue before? My new coach measures me and notices that I gain a lot of water during my period week, but was wondering if I was not on the pill if my body would do the same thing. If you don't want to post on here, I am happy to talk on a private message. Thank you for anyone's help in advance!

Even on bcp my period was completely erratic the first few months of ip.
I would stick with it if it is you birth control method of choice. Things will "even out". |
I'll second that periods are wonky just because of the nature of this diet. I would not go off my birth control based on an IP coach's advice, even if you swelled up like a balloon with water around your period it's just water -your weight loss will show in the following weeks.
I've seen many recommendations from people to be DOUBLY careful about birth control when on IP - estrogen stores in fat cells so it is being released in your system as you drop weight and can make you more prone to pregnancy. |
I was told that you should use multiple methods because the BP is not as affective on IP. I also should warn you that I got pregnant with my first by only missing one pill...and I was NOT on IP...so be careful.. :)
