The latest protocol calls for losing 100% of your goal prior to P2. The previous sheet called for 80-90% then P2 but as my coach has explained it, too many people derailed after gaining. You WILL gain 3-5 pounds back once you hit maintenance so in my clinic some are even going 5# past their goal to stabilize at their goal weight after the gain. In the first few days of P1 we lose all our glycogen stores in order to start buring fat. Our bodies need this, so we replenish these stores once in maintenance, its not fat, but adds pounds...
I asked at clinic last week. My sheet and the new one I asked for also said 90%. But I was told it is now 100%, not sure but I just don't think they've had time to change their photo copy sheets. Kinda irritating but it's life.
I agree with longhorn, you WILL gain but its only because you are introducing carbs and other stuff back into your diet. I would go 5lbs under just so you don't stress about the gain.
I agree with the 5 lbs under. Phase 4 is a little stressful, trying to figure out what you can eat, etc. Once those glycogen stores are replinished, your body "fluffs" back up a little bit. I appeared to be getting too skinny before I phased off. My face was drawn, my bones were protruding in areas. Once I phased off, I didn't gain anything back scale wise, but I don't look unhealthy anymore. A little hard to explain, but you will see what I'm talking about.

I know what you are talking about, when I was at home one of my brothers told my mom I am starting to look OLD!....when she told me that I was like....HE looks OLDER than me!...she laughed and said that is what I was thinking too....lol.....but my bones are starting to poke out, some mornings I find my face looks more drawn than others. I still have 20-30more lbs to go
