I know that I have posted this once before in a daily chat and just now in todays. But I figured I post it this way as well so everyone can see it. It is a whole new way to look at the "I only lost one pound" saying.
Only One Pound
Hello, do you know me? If you don't, you should. I'm a pound of fat, And I'm the HAPPIEST pound of fat that you would ever want to meet. Want to know why? It's because no one ever wants to lose me; I'm ONLY ONE POUND, just a pound! Everyone wants to lose three pounds, five pounds, or fifteen pounds, but never only one. So I just stick around and happily keep you fat. Then I add to myself, ever so slyly, so that you never seem to notice it. That is, until I've grown to ten, twenty, thirty or even more pounds in weight. Yes, it's fun being ONLY ONE POUND OF FAT, left to do as I please. So, when you weigh in, keep right on saying, "Oh, I only lost one pound." For you see, if you do this, you'll encourage others to keep me around because they'll think I'm not worth losing. And, I love being around you - your arms, your legs, your chin, your hips and every part of you. Happy Days!!! After all, I'm ONLY ONE POUND OF FAT!!! - Author Unknown
If you google "1 pound fat picture", you will see a number of helpful pics: 1 pound fat in your hand, 1 pound fat vs. 1 pound muscle, 5 pounds of fat, etc.
To lose 1 pound of fat is pretty amazing, when you actually see the graphic. Then to think just how much weight many on IP are losing, as well as those of still relatively early in the process.
Hope you find this helpful and motivating.
Think shorts and bathing suits - stay true to yourself and the diet.
'Only 1 Pound'.... it makes you think doesn't it. As Chloe222 suggested above, I googled 'pictures of 1 lb of fat' and found some more very motivating pictures... the link's below. As I was walking to do errands a day or so ago, I was thinking how I felt significantly lighter even at this stage - just 10 lbs gone. And since I'm only on Day 21 I know a significant part of that was water weight. But still... 10 less lbs for me to lug around. I think I'll print off some of these nasty fat pics and put them in strategic places around my apartment, as a reminder of how much I want this fat 'released' from my body. I prefer 'released' to 'lost'...because I certainly don't want to 'find it' again.
