I love the EVOO and lemons for salad dressing. Most restaurants can accommodate that. Eating out is hard but necessary. I have gotten used to asking the waiter/waitress for exactly what i want. i used to never do that. And most places are great about it.
I am going to have to try that. I have the WF but honestly would prefer to not have any extras while on IP!
Good morning IP'ers. I have a question. Have any of you ladies suffered from ovarian cysts? I have a large one on my left side. I think it is causing my TOM problems I have been suffering from the last 2 months. They are lasting 2 weeks (not heavy) and only a week in between them. Ugh. Bad cramping with nauseua and lightheaddedness. Feel weak and sick most of the time. Please let me know if you have felt this way too. I am going in for an internal ultrasound on Monday to see what is going on in there.
I'm in week 2 & heading out of town. I have all my packets organized by day, so it will be a no brainier to stay on track!
BUT...I just realized I'm going to run out f my food log. Modes anyone have a PDF they can post of the journal? I searched the forum & the stickies for basic info & found everything, but that....although, I swear I saw it somewhere when I was reading all the stickies like a good newbie
Morning all, and happy Friday! So glad the weekend's almost here!
Lots going on this weekend - our local home show with my mom and sister, girl's night on Saturday and then Sunday I'm meeting a friend who's taking all of my larger clothes as she starts her own weight loss journey. Will feel SO good to get rid of all of those larger sizes, knowing I'll never need them again as long as I stay strong and committed!
Also started the cleanse today so we'll see if that puts a crimp in my weekend. Hopefully not.
I am nervous to get rid of my clothes...so many years of up and down..... I had multiple sizes to fall back on. Good for you, I am going to work on letting some of mine o too.
Let me know about your cleanse, I am debating on trying it.
Stay on the program and be patient. The weight did not come on in a day and will take just as long to come off
I really like this quote. Its something my grandmother use to always tell me. You didnt gain it in one day you surely wont lose it in a day. I can be not so patient at times as well.
Any thought on flavorings for water? particularly MIO and Crystal Light. in my 4th week and still trying to figure this diet out
I love MIO, especially the fruit punch flavor. Before this diet, I had pretty much eliminated most sweet drinks, so I only use it at dinner time. What surprised me the most about it is that I've always hated artificial sweeteners, but I've hardly noticed the difference since starting IP.
My coach told me that Crystal Light is not allowed, but I was never a big fan anyway.
Pretty One,
It will be a great journey! Keep your head in the game, and you will win.
When you get down, come here, everyone has your back! Tough love when you need it and praise when you need it! Good Luck friend!

I felt like I NEEDED to do it because all of my clothes are/were big. I've been overweight since I was 13, and the same size for oh, 20 or more years? So I don't have that rainbow of sizes in my closet to fall back on.
Purging the pieces that are just too big was an amazing feeling. And since I never want to go back to where I was, I've also removed my safety net by getting rid of all the big stuff.
Thankfully I have a friend who's also been losing and is ahead of me, so she's been giving me her clothes to help with my transition. And she's getting clothes from my sister in law who's also losing...so it's a nice ripple effect. Also means I have fewer pieces to buy as I go along, and anything I do buy I make sure it's somewhat tight now so that I'll get more longevity out of it over time as I keep losing.
But the hope is that eventually, even the pieces I bought last weekend will have to go!

I crave sweets so I want drink them all day. Will curb my weight loss?

The Crystal Light contains aspartame which mimics a sugar reaction in your pancreas, hence why we're supposed to stay away. Will it impact weight loss? I'm sure enough of it could. But Mio's made with sucralose so that's already an advantage there.
