My fitness pal is a great app that will help track your carb and protein amounts!

Try the Slim Kicker app ... it has most of the Ideal Protein foods in the database and it is kinda cute.

Default Ideal Protein App

I just registered for the site to respond to this thread. There is an ideal protein app for the iPhone/ipod touch. I've not used it, but am curious. Thought I'd pass the info along.

There is an app but I am not sure how it works. It is $9.99 - search app store - Ideal Protein Meals. I know it has recipes but not sure about the journal. Myfitnesspal is what I have been using. If anyone tries it, please give us your feedback.

I also use SparkPeople. You can track food, weight, exercise, set goals, lots of things. You can enter your own foods. It has a recipe builder so you can figure out the stats on a recipe you use. It has a web presence and an app for your mobile device. It also has a huge forum, teams, information. Use the pieces you want.

I've seen some reviews. Most said it wasn't worth the $10. For recipes I use this site and Pinterest. For journal I use MFP. I like the price better

According to my coach:
Approximately
50% protein
30% fat
20% carbs
No more than 1000 cals/day (I average 750-950)
Net carbs per day (total minus fiber) shouldn't go over 40

I track protein, fat, carbs, fiber daily on My Fitness Pal
You can change the settings online but not on the mobile app

I would highly recommend My Fitness Pal also. My kids gave me an "up" for my birthday which works with your smart phone in tracking your caleries burned and steps taken in a day and it syncs with My Fitness Pal. The up also tracks your sleep patterns so you see if you are hitting your sleep goals. Excellent device for those tracking activity and calories/carbs/fats etc.

Definitely recommend it!

Don't need an iphone... Any mobile device has the app as well as desktop

I use My Fitness Pal and really like it. It's very easy to use and I can access it from my android phone, laptop or Kindle. It makes it easy to keep track of your calories, water and exercise. I'm intrigued by the Up fitness bracelet. I'm just afraid I would get tired of wearing it all the time.
