i used to bodybuild and then got into powerlifting. for my money, there's no such thing as "too much", lol.
that being said, if you're not doing "balls-to-the-wall" full-on sports, keep your protein at around 30% of your daily intake (protein, like carbs, is 4cal/gr, fat is approx 9cal/gr). the rest of it is your choice - go low-carb or go low-fat but don't do both.
