Not going anywhere Jenny! I had a good phase 1 day yesterday. Anxious to see what the scale says. Maybe that will be enough motivation for me to stay OP this weekend.

I am thinking phase 1 all weekend too.

I just signed up for my first 5K tomorrow morning. It is a charity run our school does every year. A few of my senior girls (not so athletic) talked me into being their team captain and walk/running with them. I am nervous and excited....the last time I went jogging was January....

Thanks girls! I am definitely going to be staying off of the scale for a few days. I am planning on staying as close to OP as possible, but with all of the eating out we will be doing, the sodium will show me up and I just don't want to play that mind game.

So I got my Nashua order and the chocomint shake / pudding is SOOOOO GOOD! I made it as a shake because I have never really been a "pudding" person, it is delish! I highly recommend it! Especially if chocolate and mint are one of your favorite combinations, like me

Sounds yummy! I'll get it with my next order! Might use the ice cream recipe with it!

Thanks I am kind of excited because the four girls are an unlikely group to do an athletic activity....we will run as much or as little as we can, and celebrate the finish.

Good for you Darbs! I'm back for a reboot. I'm 10 pounds up. I was 15 for an ugly, terrifying moment or two. I think I need to go to phase 1. Can't tonight cuz I'm hosting bridge - long story but I will be good. I think I can start tomorrow. I'm still dealing with that night time craving for evil carbs.

I have a question for you all. If you go to phase 1 for your reboot - do you go through all the other phases again? And do you stop exercising during the phase 1? Actually, I haven't been getting in as much exercise as I should lately, should I push myself to burn more calories? I do find that exhausting.

Exercise does not help with weight loss! I continue to do it even when in phase 1. I enjoy it so much. But don't feel like you need it.

Mom~ I hate to disagree, but doesn't exercise increase metabolism and build muscle, both of which affect calories burned during a normal day? I could be wrong but I thought that was kind of the appeal of exercising.

All the studies show that exercise does not increase weight loss. It may help with maintenance, and it definitely helps with tone, etc.

How is everyone doing this weekend? I am about 90%. We have been eating out a lot, which I knew would was inevitiable. I have been having a few off plan bites, but for the most part I am doing ok. I am definitely staying off of the scale for a week. All of this sodium is going to have me up, up, up and I do not want it to mess with my head.

Darbs- congrats on the 5K!

Mom- I don't know what I would do without exercise. It is my stress reliever, my zen, my happy place. If I don't work up a good sweat 5-6x a week, I am a crabby girl.
