Do you think it could be from too much stevia in the cookies? I should have used may be just a 1/4 of the amount, what do you think.

Thank-you

I am SO with you on this one! While I realize that there is artificial sweetener in these IP packets, it isn't so bad....but I bought a box of Truvia, used a half packet in my coffee the other morning, took one sip, and threw it out. All I really need is something to put in my coffee. So far I've experimented with a tsp. of the vanilla pudding mix, and this morning a tsp of the cappuccino mix. I am going to keep experimenting till I find something I like.
I've been a "professional" dieter most of my adult life as I was a dancer (now a dance teacher) who is not naturally thin. I have always just avoided using the artificial sweeteners all together since I simply cannot tolerate the taste. I cannot even drink a diet soda.

OMG! WAY, way too too much. And the cost! [Well here, I'm paying the equivalent of $30 for less than a half cup].

I'm no expert - this is just my opinion. Your symptoms could be any of the other ingredients; a bad egg for example.

How fresh was your p-nut butter? Sometimes it can go rancid, you'll be able to tell by the smell. Even slightly turning can upset your stomach. You may also be rebalancing your body and now be sensitive to p-nuts. They are a very "moldy" product and cause varying degrees of allergic reactions in people.

Read the ingredients in the splenda packets - the ones in my grocery store list dextrose, which is a sugar. The splenda for baking is not supposed to have the dextrose. Why they put it in there is beyond me...

I had tried stevia when I first started the program a year ago, and didn't like the aftertaste, but have just gotten some of the powder and now I like it. Don't know whether it is my taste buds changing or the brand I found at the health food store (no dextrose). I think even the Truvia at the grocery store has dextrose...

I have read that any sweetener, natural or artificial, causes the brain to crave more. I think this may be true in my case. When I have too much sugar-free jello or the DaVinci syrups in my coffee, I find that I crave more and more. Something to be aware of...

FYI, the stevia I buy, which is non bitter at all, is from the health food store and is the NuNaturals NuStevia White Stevia powder. It came in packets or loose in a jar.
