Default Weight Loss & Snoring or lack of

Losing the weight has been great for me, physically and emotionally. But today, well this morning my wife said how great it was for her. I've snored, well forever, my Indian Guide name was Snoring Bear for a good reason.

So this morning my wife said she freaked out about 3AM when she checked to see if I was in bed, which I was, but then she realized I wasn't breathing - well I wasn't snoring to be precise. She said it scared her for a moment or two until she realized that I was alive, breathing just QUIET.

I was happy that finally the weight loss I've experienced was something that benefited her too.

I completely stopped snoring after about 25-30 lbs lost. I was diagnosed with sleep apnea when I was pregnant (much heavier than now), and had the machine and everything. It's so nice to sleep undisturbed...

Congratulations! I'm sure you will feel more rested now too. As will your wife!

This diet/protocol/way of life that we call IP is a way out... if you let it be.

I'd ask my husband if I've stopped snoring, but he wouldn't know since he snores too, and very loudly I might add.

My boyfriend is not on IP, but he has lost 10 lbs just by eating the same dinners as me. He has stopped snoring since losing only this small amount. I think for some people, extra weight can definitely cause snoring.

I am totally with you. I asked my hubby the other day if my snoring had improved and he said that it has, I can't wait until I lose another 30-40lbs and hopefully be rid of it. I used to wake up with my sinuses just killing me and I haven't had that in a while which is a great feeling.

LOL...this is one of my priorities as well besides feeling better myself. My husband snores but he suffers from insomnia. He often cannot sleep well b/c he can hear me snoring. When he's on call he goes to the guest room to get good night sleep :-(. I've only lost about a 10th of what I want to lose, but reading your posts make me hopefull that snoring will go away after 10 more lbs.

lol sorry but that is so funny and I can relate. She is still awake but this time it is cause your not snoring and your still sleeping. So sounds like my house. Good job on the weight loss.
