Default Did I blow it?

I don't think I totally blew things, but just need a reality check. At lunch I ate 3 ounces of turkey breast in a salad with 1 cup of cucumbers and romaine.

Dinner, I had 5 ounces of very lean stir fry beef, 2 cups of broccoli and one cup of mushrooms.

I rarely split up my protein and veggies like that, but I was hungry today.

Any words of wisdom out there?

Definitely you'll be fine - it's better to have a little extra protein and veggies when you're hungry - or an additional packet. Beats the heck out of feeling crappy and then stuffing cookies or something else down out of frustration.

Totally agree! You'll be fine!!! I often munch on extra veggies if I'm hungry, and when I'm working hard physically (like planting sod this weekend!), I add another protein packet to my day. Like a previous poster said, I'd rather add another protein and veggie to my day than eyeball the jar of peanut butter in the pantry....

I also agree, this is something I've done when I've felt hungrier then I normally do, a little extra chicken with my lunch salad or a few dill pickle zippers or soy nuts on top. You will be fine and you made the right choice to have some lean protein and not like the others said cookies or a big spoonful of peanut butter

I agree. One or two of these "mistakes" won't mess it up. It's a new week! You'll survive

Perfectly acceptable. The owner of the clinic I go to often recommends this for her clients.

Not at all. I had a 1oz slice of turkey on a romaine leaf with onion and a tiny bit of mustard yesterday for lunch also because I was hungrier than normal at that time. At dinner I had a 5oz pork chop. I was splitting it up everyday in the beginning and only started eating all protein at night when I had a low loss like my 4th week or so. It won't hurt to do it every now and then. You will be fine!

What you ate is fine! You should still see weight loss, you did not blow it at all.

Thanks for the reassurances. I didn't think it was a big problem -- I didn't go over any amounts, just split them up, but I wasn't sure if there is some sort of chemical thing that happens by eating my protein at two meals.

Good for you for stopping at 3! If I started I'm not sure if I'd be able to stop until the bag is empty. Chips are my biggest weakness so they aren't even aloud in my house.
