I know I keep complaining about my clinic, I apologize for that, but I really feel like I need to vent, and If I vented to my husband/friends, they would just encourage me to stop the program. So
I'll try to be brief, here's my story so far with IP coaches:
Consultation: Physician, the kind who wants to get you out of the office ASAP gave me the briefest description of the program- I had done my
research so, I didn't mind too much. Now that I'm a few weeks into the program I wish she'd mentioned many other things.
1st coach: Only spoke to her on the phone, she wasn't there for the first
meeting. I found out later that she is no longer a coach because she was essentially a bad coach, not keeping any records of anything, not ordering the food on time, etc. etc.
2nd "fill in" coach: Such a sweetheart! She's doing the program, so has some experience, she did mention "the program is hard, so you have to do whatever keeps you on track, like I have a piece of chocolate every day to keep me sane, also I substitute the vegetables with a little bit of brown rice" sigh-
3rd coach: She seemed really uncomfortable and scared, so I asked her if she was on the diet, she said no, then I asked what kind of training is required to become a coach, she pointed at a packet on her desk, and said "well we have to read this" the package seemed like the one that we get when we signed up, then she added "I'm also going to be learning from clients as I go along" . When my "C" problem arose, she said, well it says here to take magnesium citrate, other than that I don't know what to tell you.
Next week I decided to go to the first clinic where there is a physician, she suggested I take the whole bottle of magnesium citrate, and that worked. So I made an appt there for the next week, because I wanted to follow up on my problem, in case it wasn't solved, etc. Well, she didn't show up to the clinic. So I saw someone else there.
4th coach: Again, really sweet person. She's on the program and proceeds to tell me she had a really bad week, she cheated, and the program is proving to be too restrictive for her and she's planning on quitting altogether". Well, thanks for that. I wasn't too hopeful for an answer from her, but still I told her about my period not being here yet, and she just said it was normal, it happens, but couldn't give me an explanation. Also I asked if they sell Novi-Lax and they don't. I called IP and they told me I would need to call the director of the program in this state to find out why they don't sell it.
Ok, so I did call IP to find out if there are other clinics, but there is only ONE other one in my area, and it's the same kind -can't tell for sure if the people will be better, but since it's also an urgent care clinic, I feel like it will be the same.
I looked into ideal to go (I browsed this forum) and it appears that they will only let you switch from a clinic to ideal to go if your current coach agrees to it, and the coach will get or split the comision from the products you purchase. umm, no thanks.
Anyway, so I'm staying put -as it seems I don't have many choices. I can ignore their wrong advice, their negativity and lack of care. ... I just might need to vent once in a while.. not too often, I promise!
Ok, so just typing this up makes me feel a little better.
If you guys have other coach horror stories, feel free to post. It does help to get it out!
