Just a thought - and I get the fact that regardless of how much you have to lose, constantly feeling like you want to lose and just aren't, or you're promising yourself you will and not ... it's just quite a toll. I have more weight to lose than you, but I'm also fortunate in the fact that I still have less than others. We're all at different journey points, but we all understand the mental struggle too.

You're getting there!
Oh, how I miss miss miss my greek plain 0!! My breakfast of choice? 1 cup fage 0 + 1 cup frozen berries + coffee. Its like 23 grams protein, 0 fat, 8 grams of fiber. We do whole grain and I try to limit sugars but am not the best. Because of the cost of the greek yogurt, I have lately done the the Organic Yogurt Tubes - they still have higher sugar than I would like. I was making my own fat free crock pot yogurt then adding blended fruit and sweetening with agave for them, but since I cannot taste the batches and tweak I found it too hard on this diet right now.

While I do give my kids some of the less clean foods also, I am not tempted enough to cheat with them. It is the dang peanut butter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And, the homemade blueberry gelato I made from scratch for my baby's first birthday, that I had to of course see was palatable. I love blueberries, I love ice cream. That was a deadly, deadly combo! I won't make another batch until I am done with IP. Any special treats like that will be given my our babysitter or DH, at least now that the birthday is over. I am learning little things, like always use silverware instead of my hands when I can so I don't get sucked in. But I will give some thought to other triggers though that may be setting me up . . . that is a great thought! Yes, I picked up another box of the peanut butter bars. My WF PB is also here and I will play with making that edible!

That's a great pic, too. It would be fun to get all the guys together for a multigenerational photo!

I think we all start seeing our parents in ourselves when we hit our 30's . . . like it or not, right?! Parenting will bring out the non-physical similarities as well. Oh do I sound like my mom sometimes . . .

Ha, I will go with Dicky Half ;-) It's Darling Husband. Not that I ever call him that, but I came across that acronym a long time ago and just figured that's what I am supposed to call him when posting online lol!

I do have an elliptical in the basement but right now that time for myself during naptime (when I used to squeeze it in) isn't coming togehter - oldest stopped napping, middle is potty training w/o a diaper so I need to be here for "the call". That said, I have a sitter who comes and another mom who I swap kids for exercise time when weather permits. I have decided that I miss it too much to continue on the no exercise thing, so I will start again my old routines and just taper as I fade due to the low carbs (I do fizzle faster). I am SO excited that I get today and tomorrow to workout I cannot stand it! And, next week I have some time lined up too. It is my kid-break as well. MUCH needed especially wtih DH traveling the majority of these 3 weeks! When DH returns home, I am start doing P90X with him in the morning then going for a run while he showers . . . this is all so early the kids are usually still asleep. If I can do that, I think I will see the results I am hoping for in terms of physical changes!

Great Pic, love the 3 generations together!!

Oh, and thanks for the compliment. I have worked pretty hard to get the weight off and try to be healthy. I have a little ways to go but feel proud that I am fighting heredity and a teeny bit of gravity with my efforts =)
I am excited that you will be working out, it will help you sooo much! You are definitely allowed to workout at a more intense levelafter phase 1. And if you need to after your workouts add a peanut butter bar or puffs packet in after the workout. You'll be at goal in a flash!

I'm here...but I'm way behind on reading and trying to catch up. Has anyone noticed that they feel cold after starting IP? For example, I used to be a warm person (flip flips in the snow, A/C full blast in the summer) but now I feel like I'm cold in situations where I would never normally have been cold. I can barely stand the A/C in the car even when it's above 20C...or the office (I'm wearing a sweater at the end of July)...and I froze last night in the theatre. Is this normal? Is anyone else experiencing this?

I DO get that I am venting on this site a lot these last 2 weeks as to my personal struggles, mentally and with the food. That is exactly why I am on this site and even though I am sure all the 100% OPers (and maybe everyone else) are like "here she goes again", I need to vent to those going through something similar and I like the ability to read different responses/viewpoints! Thanks for offering yours! I do read everything and, despite what it may seem in light of my continued transgressions, I start each day positive, I try to be 100%, I feel good.

Anyway, I am going to continue in Phase I for 1 more week. I am approaching this 1 week at a time. My coach gave me the Phase 3 sheet in case I wanted to, but it will actually require more planning and so I figure I might as well just try for 100% OP week like my week 1 and see how I feel.

As for WI #3, I dropped a little over a pound, lost a little in inches (I think, hard to tell bcz it was a different girl again), and my body fat% and BMI dropped again. I was encouraged by this and am hoping to continue Phase 1 until I am in 21% body fat. But, like I said, 1 day / 1 week at a time!

I found my "coach" today to be interesting. She was not harsh or reproachful when I told her about my cheats, she was more like "yeah the PB is protein and won't kick you out of ketosis in moderation". No lecture (and no advice or suggestions either). I was a bit surprised to get that response. When I told her my dilemma, stay on IP but risk cheating again (obviously not my intention, but reality is that I nevertheless let it recur) and my concerns about what I might be doing to my body or move to Phase 3, she was just like "yeah, the only way you can know if you will have better results is to stay OP 100% for a week or here's the sheet you can go to Phase 3 if you want. Really, you're thin already." While I would love to take that compliment and run, I am not actually thin. I am not overweight, but I am not thin. I have these lovely fatty areas (hips, thighs, waist/love handles) that I am aiming to get rid of. And, I think that is what IP is going to help me do. I just found it interesting that that was her response . . . at least I didn't feel like she was pushing product or the program I guess!!

Well, all that said, I am 100% OP today. Feeling good although hungry. Energy is ok despite less than 5 hours sleep. I get a baysitter and a workout tonight, so I am looking forward to that. The heat/humidity is so horrible that I think I will just take a class at the gym!

Oh, and I bought ketostix . . . just to see. Sometimes more physical reminders of what I am doing can be great motivators =)
No problem coliep....I use this and the daily thread to vent too, and it really stinks when no one replys or offers advice...... It sounds like talking to your coach settled you down a bit and made you more confident, you will figure it out, you will get there

Default NSV today...Survived shopping

Took my son to the outlet malls today and stayed 100% OP, packed my lunch and munched Kale chips walking around, people were looking at me funny, then it occured to me, that Kale chips in a baggie are darker green, toasted, crunchy, rough in texture, that looks just like an illegal substance in a bag!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, got home, had to cook dinner and THEN my new concoction of "Fiesta Meat" and sat down to eat at 7:30. I posted what I put in it on the daily thread, or if you are interested, I will add here too.... WI # 2 tomorrow at 9:30 am........

I cannot speak to wether it is normal but, yes, I too (another flip flops in the snow always hot pesron) feel cold more often. I have our thermostat at 75 lately and still get a chill here and there. I, for one, welcome the change!

Watkat - then I will try that syrup bcz the WF stuff is really like salty brown ick! Glad you enjoyed yours!

Yay Josey - great job! I made Kale chips the other day and loved them (so much that i am pretty sure I had more than my 2 cups of veggies!). I have been taking my lunch everywhere too -- usually a salad with dressing and a shake that I've frozen bcz it defrosts in time. Let 'em look =)

I had a good workout. Not a lot of oomph, but I feel very happy! I did 15 light minutes on the elliptical, then a 55 minute body sculpt class. I have been 100% OP and still have my 4th packet coming to me (I had dinner right after the workout - 8 ounces tuna + romaine/zucchini/broccoli saute).

I instructed the sitter to give the kids (and herself) the rest of the gelato =)

Yay me!
