I hope everyone is having a great morning! I had a wonderul OP day yesterday and plan to for the rest of the week. I have a massive sinus infection so I feel yucky, but that's not going to stop me from being OP. Have a fantastic day :D

Pxlkitty4 07-19-2011 08:55 AM

Good morning everyone. My cold morphed into a sinus infection, so my visit to my IP doctor yesterday turned into a "could you take a peek at my sinuses?" followed by a prescription for z-pak. After my double dose yesterday afternoon, I can breathe! I am still exhausted, though...

So... my WI and discussion yesterday were both good. Down another 2 lbs to 156.0... this is 1 lb from my original goal. We decided that my new goal of 145.0 is reasonable, and that I reserve the right to move it again. He based that off BMI, discussing where I want to lose more inches. We also discussed beginning to exercise, and eating another packet if I am hungry because of the exercise. Of course, I am craving going to the gym but too exhausted to move... Oh well... such is life.

I also talked about the "buckling down at the end" with my coach. She said that the people who succeed the most really commit during the last 10 lbs, rather than giving up because they are bored and "close enough". I've never been good at finishing a diet, so I am determined to be good at it this time.

I hope everyone has a good day. Scanning the daily thread from yesterday, seems like we need some more visits from the Whoosh Fairy for a few people who are trying very hard, and a visit from the Willpower Fairy for some others who are struggling...

Remember -- this diet is a no cheat diet. Maybe this is a good analogy. IF you want to cheat, think of it like driving 65 in a 55-MPH zone. You might get away with it, and still lose weight... BUT, if you get caught, you have no one to blame but yourself. You know the rules. Follow them. Simple!

Oh, I do hope you feel better... and that you have meds. I finally got meds yesterday, and they are starting to work. I couldn't breathe yesterday until I took mucinex, sudafed, and 3 Advil. Yuck!

Good morning. I've seen a lot of people with horrible summer colds in the past week. Hope you both feel better soon!

I need the woosh fairy. Weighed myself again. Yes, it's an addiction. I am the same as yesterday. I really don't know what I can do differently so I will stay on track. I REALLY want that 15 on Thursday!

A little NSV though.....I am wearing a pair of capris I didn't get to wear last summer at all and they aren't tight in the least bit. At my smallest I couldn't keep them up so I'm just waiting to pass that point!

That's great! It always makes me feel better when I can wear something smaller!!! I guess I need to go put on my wedding dress as motivation to stay OP. :D

I've been MIA for a few weeks. It's been very busy here with the daycare kids and now having my older kids on summer break!

It's great to see everyone is still on the losing streak :carrot:

I had to buy new shorts this past weekend. I've been putting off buying clothes because the weight loss, but I figured if I can pull my buttoned shorts up and down without unbuttoning them then its time to go smaller :o:o

I was wearing a size 12 and I bought a size 8!!! I still have 15lbs to go I can't wait to see what I'm wearing then :D

Yesterday I started running again and it was the best feeling in the world - Although I was up a pound this morning - I'm sure by staying OP that and more will fall off...

I love shopping in my own closet. My husband gets fed up with me keeping things that I know won't go out of style until I tell him I went shopping in my closet again. He doesn't realize I'm saving him money by not having to go out and buy new things. Sad thing is, I shouldn't ever grow out of them but such is life. This time I won't! :)

Thank you so much for posting this - this is Day 2 for me and it is SO great to read these things! I love your posts - so positive and upbeat and very, very helpful. Hope you feel better soon

Good Morning everyone! I am wearing a pair of white size 14 slacks today that haven't been on in years, and after only 3 weeks on this diet! I'm encouraged to hear the same thing happening to you guys.

Is anyone else cold all the time? Before the diet, I was always hot, now I'm always cold. No fuel in the stove I guess?

Me too! I (almost) have a whole new wardrobe. And now I have a spare bed full of clothes to donate. Feeling skinny today and thought I'd try on those favorite white shorts from so many years ago...the ones I just couldn't bear to part with. They buttoned and then OMG they zipped all the way up. Thank you IP (and armour thyroid) for bringing me back to me. Happy girl!!!!!!

:carrot:Good Morning everyone :)

So week 3 ! & I was looking forward to a good WI tom, but this am I realized it's "that time of the month" great, im assuming it was effect my weight loss right ?? & I'm early too, which is strange ... Lately I've had no energy either ? i'm feeling real LAZY. It could be that were having 90+ degree weather but still, I had a lot more energy before the diet !

Anyways, trying to stay positive ! Keeping my fingers crossed to get into the 150's ! Drowning myself in water & I found a new favorite veggie - Spinach ! I feel like popeye, im obsessed, walked out of the supermarket with 4 bags :)

You should try the Netipot (with the drugs). Sinus infections are TOUGH to get rid of, I had 6 in 12 months about two years ago. I had my nose 'raped' by an ENT specialist twice. He told me to netipot once a day when I wasn't sick and twice a day when I was. I'm a HUGE HUGE believer in the netipot. Although, it's not the most feminine thing I've ever done. :D I do also like Advil Cold and Sinus with an antihistamine. I don’t have allergies but when I have a sinus infection the antihistamine helps dry your nasal passages out.

So I had my first food dream last night. I didn't have any packets on me at all in the dream and there was a meal in front of me. I decided to eat like two tsp full just to keep the hunger down. When I woke up I felt SO relieved that it was just a dream and when I think about the food this morning....the meal didn't make sense. Even though in the dream it did, funny how our subconscious works.

Have a lighter day everyone! ;)
