Default Sea Salt

Okay, I have a general question about the sea salt. I am day 3, about to start day 4 ( I work nights) and I really hate the salt! I never even had regular salt in my house, never used it in any cooking or even on eggs. I have never craved it.... So my question is, do I have to use the salt? Can I cut back on it? I read from someone elses post to put it in your protein drinks or just in the water... tried that, drank the protein drink, but could taste it, the water got dumped.... any suggestions on how to get this salt in?

Perhaps cut back on the amount you are adding to your liquids. Our minds can play some serious tricks on us. I had never been a big salt user either until a naturopath introduced me to grey coarse Celtic Sea Salt many years ago. I can actually get rid of my headaches just by sucking on a few grains. It really does wonders for you body. Whatever you do, never use table salt on your food.......bad stuff! Good luck!

Please do whatever you can to get the recommended salt intake... according to Dr. Tran Tien, "During the protein-saving diet, a drop in blood pressure is the main cause of fatigue. This is referred to as orthostatic hypotension, which is the result of a significant loss of water and salt. Increased water and salt intake should eliminate fatigue."

You certainly don't have to take it all at once... a pinch here & a pinch there & by the end of the day, you'll hardly know you had any salt, but it'll all be gone...

hugs

I was never a big salt fan either so I put 1/4 tsp in my 25oz water container. Seems to dilute it pretty well. I do this twice a day. Works for me I get most of my water and my salt
