My clinic is actually hosting an event with one of the main people of the Ideal Protein Diet (as we know it commercially). I am really interested to see what we find out. It is on Weds. Supposedly they will be unveiling new foods, new "non restricted" additions to the veggie/etc allowance we get (including the egg whites). If anyone knows anyone who lives in the Central IL area and would want to go....let me know. Otherwise I will certainly share what I find.

ok stupid question....Can you just buy egg whites?
HI wuv2beloved
I buy cartons of liquid egg whites at some of the major food stores. I am in Canada but I used to buy them for camping because they are in a carton and hard to break. It is hard to measure what is one egg white when you cook.

I always buy the natural egg whites in the container. I hate having to crack an egg and throw most of it away! 1 egg white= 2 Tbs of liquid whites from the container. Very handy.

Oh definitely let us know what you find out please! I don't know if my clinic is completely up-to-date on these announcements, since I usually get the best information from here. Thank you!!!

Thanks so much for this information! This forum is great!
I have learned tons more than I ever learn from my coach -- in fact, my coach says this forum is a dangerous place to visit. Go figure -- I don't think they are doing their job -- or care to go the extra mile as far as information is concerned. I'm about to search for a new coach in our area -- but am VERY thankful for all of your information.

Yes, please keep giving us information from your clinics! I am in a small town and we don't have any new information. The egg whites is exciting. Plus I would be curious to see if any other vegs might be allowed. I have read coaches allow tomatoes..but they are restricted.
My coach said a new IP omelette is coming out that does not have any spices.

I am in Alberta, Canada , and when I asked my clinic about the egg whites, they hadn't heard anything about it.
Does anyone have a new revised IP sheet that contains the egg white information?
Also Maile - My IP sheet allows tomatoes, but only as a restricted veggie

Yes you can. They come in little cartons just like individual milk cartons and are in the refridgerator section. Make sure you get the ones that are just egg. Some have other stuff in them

That's funny, my coach recommended this message board (though I'd already found it on my own).
