Default Going out for dinner - HELP!!

We just got invited out for dinner to celebrate my BIL graduation. We're going to the Baton Rouge. I've never gone out for dinner since starting this diet and I'm nervous .... What do you eat?? How do you stay OP while eating out? HELP!

I've been going through their website and I'm so confused...

I always order grilled chicken/fish or steak -- usually steak as it is a treat. I tell the waiter I am lactose intolerant and a diabetic so I can have no butter or anything that has sugar in it. Usually if you say you want your meat grilled without sauce that works. Order a salad minus the stuff we cannot have, get oil and lemon juice or bring your own dressing. Get a side of allowed steamed veggies (sub out the startchy potato/rice/pasta/quinoa stuff--stay away from the bread/chip basket )and... a perfect IP meal awaits. If you are doing Chinese get a steamed meal which usually consists of steamed meat and veggies - requests NO SAUCE. What kind of restaurant are you going to? maybe we could give you better suggestions if you let us know the type of food.

We're going to baton rouge. I checked out their website and meat portions are all like 10oz! and everything is covered with stuff... Hopefully, I can order something without all the non IP stuff!

just tell them you want your stuff dry, meaning no sauces. you can do this!

Just look at it as half for now, and the leftovers as half for your already-made meal tomorrow! You can do this. Just remember everything dry grilled and steamed with no sauce and you will do fine.
