John is right, just follow the protocol and you will be fine.
I've been on the program for 9 weeks and have lost 30lbs - I've tried the ketostix throughout and they have always shown that I am not in ketosis...it doesn't bother me, because I know I am (the weight loss and the stinky breath proves it!).
My coach said not to worry about the ketostix as much as staying on protocol.
