Hi guys!! I started IP 2 weeks ago and my 2 "coaches" are not very helpful. I have 2 quick questions. 1-How many times can I eat filet mignon (yum) in a week?My sheet does not say anything. It only restricts Salmon 1x a week.
2-And my coach told me that I cannot eat minced meat!! even though the sheet does not say anything against it! Please advise. Thank you!!

You can eat filet mignon on P1 and there is no restriction ( except your budget). As far a mince meat....not sure what you mean by that. If you mean ground meat ( ground beef, or turkey or chicken) you can eat that too but try to pick the leanest ground beef you can find. "Mince meat" means something different to me...it's actually something that is used to make pies and isn't meat at all....I don't think that's what you are referring to. Having said this, you may have better losses limiting your beef...although I eat beef a few times a week and have done well. Some other IP'ers report that they have a good weight loss when they have a nice steak or beef due to the fat.....hope this helps.

Couldn't live without my regular infusion of Texas Roadhouse filet mignon. Never had a problem losing on it, just that I increase my water intake to account for the extra sodium.

Enjoy.

As I just wrote on another thread (we have 2 similar threads going, which is why it is important to check threads before starting one, or even better, start in the daily to ask a question b/c most are FAQ):

Filet Mignon is a tenderloin, which is clearly stated on the P1 sheet as an allowed meat (8 oz, measured raw). There are no restrictions.

Lean ground beef is also on the sheet.
Whether you eat your meat whole, ground, chopped, "minced" is up to you.
Just measure it raw

Is she maybe confusing MINCED meat (i.e finely chopped meat) with MINCEMEAT (the blend of dried fruits and spices)??? Any meat, however it is cut, is fine, just weigh it raw to get the right amount. Obviously mincemeat is NOT phase 1 approved

RE: how often....there's no restriction, however steak is naturally higher in sodium so you may want to keep an eye on yourself and see if you tend to retain water more the day after eating steaks. I LOVE beef but I do tend to retain some water after eating it, so I try not to have beef more than twice a week.

When I lived in the UK they called ground beef - minced beef. I'm sure she means ground meat and not the stuff you find in Christmas pies.

Smile Hi all

I am new to this website. I went on IP last Feb and lost 23 lbs in 2 months. I had to switch coaches and I found another coach but it didn't really click with me. I've kept my weight until recently and it's creeping up. I need to go back to IP. I was wondering if those who have been on it, have been able to maintain their loss?

Thanks

You will get the most responses to this kind of general question in the daily threads, and there are a few recent threads that have addressed rebooting/regaining that should be within the first 2 or 3 pages of threads.
