Oh yeah, I asked my coach this past visit too!! He also said it was ok....actually LOVED the recipe and is passing it along to other clients!!
He suggested the "egg whites" in a carton..... 1 carb per 1/4 cup....and you probably don't even use half that amount!! I also add the blueberry syrup to the mix instead of water. I really miss my blueberries and cereal in the morning, so this is the perfect alternative!!
I even had the crispy pancake for supper one day, and it was sweet with the blue berry syrup WF, and it felt like a treat, like something I shouldnt have, plus its not restricted. I love my restricted once a day when I have a craving or munchies or watching a movie, makes everything seem somewhat normal, like this could be done for the rest of my life.
I'm going to make these for my birthday dessert tonight and I was wondering do you use the whole packet (powdered milk and all) or just the cereal part??
I take the whole silver package, and roll a hard glass back and forth, shake it up, roll again untill I hear no more cracking. Then mix the backing power and some splenda. The egg white I mix with some water, and almond extract then mix with the dry part. If it looks too thick I had more water. It makes one big pancake for me. Some make three smaller ones. I use the whole package its a powerd mix when I am done.
This is such an old thread, but I found it today and made these pancakes and they were AMAZING. I love them.
A word of warning though: If you use two egg whites, only use a tiny bit of water or it will be too runny. I used too much and ended up having to add another packet of cereal. Worked out, because now I have some for morning too. But if you just want one serving, go easy on it. I also didn't feel like crushing up the second packet very much, and it didn't make even a touch of difference. The little granules seemed to disappear once it was cooked. Delicious.
I ate mine plain, but maybe with a little WF syrup or some I-can't-believe-it's-not-butter... heaven.
i saw a mention of this in the favorite ip food list. I thought this "cereal" that makes amazing pancakes was a product i'd not been introduced to. Until i realized everyone was talk the crispies.
SO excited to try this in the morning. Thanks for tracking down and posting the recipe!
I asked my coach about these and she said NO! She said the vanilla extract has sugar. I was so sad. She said if its NOT on the sheet we gave you then you can't have it.

Not necessarily. I buy an organic vanilla extract that has no sugar in it. I eat the pancakes with WF syrup and a little ICBINB spray 2 or 3 times a week and I don't think it has affected my losses.

Sometimes I use vanilla flavored splenda or stevia, or sometimes I don't use any vanilla flavoring - they are delicious either way.
I put in the vanilla (or other flavor) Torani or DaVinci syrups, just a touch. This is my favorite breakfast. I've been spreading on WF raspberry jelly or using the maple pancake syrup but plan to get the WF fruit syrups to try next.
I made the pancakes last week and they smelled and tasted good, but they kinda made a weird squeeky sound when I chewed them. They had a rubbery texture, too. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm not sure what, if anything, could be done to fix that. Also, I did not know I needed to crush the cereal first. The cereal pieces were still whole when I cooked them. Next time, I will try crushing them and see if that makes a difference.
