Today was one of those days. I ate my dinner at 4:30 when I got home from work, but I was fine after that. Maybe it's not real hunger I'm feeling? Or maybe I need to space my meals better and add more lettuce? Actually I haven't been eating lettuce....ooopsie maybe I'm not following it to the T?

Anyway, I am committed to staying 100% either way.
Some coaches will tell you three packs no matter your start weight which is what mine did, but over 250 is 5 packs, over 200 is 4 and everyone in their first week can have an extra. If you aren't doing that it might be what you need. Lettuce definitely gives some bulk but not everyone eats it.

Come to the 100%er thread for much support in staying 100%. These people really helped me through it and helped me figure out how to make it work.

I learned to spread things out some to help with hunger and for some reason warm foods help so I had IP soups for lunch with pureed veggies.

Usually raw veggies satiate me the LEAST. I much prefer them cooked for the more filling effect. I found other creative ways with recipes to remain OP. I posted a zucchini muffin recipe in Recipes #4 that is also really helpful (and yummy with a cup of coffee for breakfast).

The ideas that I got from other 100%ers were invaluable.

My breakfast approx 5 days per week is an IP chocolate pudding packet made into a smoothie with (yesterday's cold) coffee as the liquid. I make the pudding (using the coffee). Into my vitamix goes spinach or lettuce and the pudding shake. Blend & then add ice. This fills 1+ 22 oz Tervis tumblers.

I drink some prior to leaving the house (and coffee) and have the rest about 9:30 or 10. This pushes lunch until 1:30 or 2. I usually include a pickle with my lunch. Somehow eating one is a cravings killer.

Dinner is early and is usually meat on a huge bed of lettuce 4-6 c.
This way I can spread my veggies throughout the day, which reduces my hunger. Last nite I had shredded beef with WF BBQ sauce on the lettuce and added some sliced peperoncini I didn't have any other dressing. Had I needed oil, I would have added it to the BBQ sauce. That became the salad dressing, as well.

Water throughout the day is essential but hot herbal tea in the afternoon is very helpful to stave off hunger.

I decided to stay 100% because I chose IP. Since I chose it, I decided I was going to figure out how to do it right and stay OP. It isn't easy and it is probably not the plan for everyone. But if we want all of the quick weight loss effects of IP, it is worth it to figure out how to follow it.

Another thing that was immensely helpful is getting the Beck Diet Solution book.
It really helps work on the mindset and has taught me that hunger is not an emergency.

My coach started me on 4 the first week, then I was down to 3, but I bought RTD Advantage Carb control and use it in my coffee, so I use about half a container a day.

Thank you for the great tips!! I am dedicated to staying 100% OP and following this program as it was intended to be. I am not investing all of this money and time into it to not get the maximum benefits. Besides that I do view this as a life style change and I am not wanting to go back to my old way of eating after I lose my weight. In other words I don't see this as temporary, I see it as a permanent change. At 48 I am ready to be fit, thin, and healthy. I am addicted to this forum. I check it continuously throughout the day! lol
