Getting Started
Good afternoon - I started IP on the 6th and I'm down 5 pounds! I was able to find a few Walden Farms products at a local store and just ordered additional items online - question is - can I use ANY of the products? Has anyone tried the peanut spread? Thanks!

I'm absolutely thrilled especially with the triglycerides. From all I've read, tri's and very small LDL (often indicated by high tri's) are the strongest indicators of cardiovascular health/risk. Now to take on raising the HDL with more exercise and continued maintenance eating!
Hooray for lower carb eating & 3 cheers to IP for making it simple!

That is SUPER FANTASTIC!!!!! Wow! Way to go.....cheers to a healthier you!!!!!

I'm from San Diego, Ca. I've not been on a lot of diets but most diets work. It's not the losing that's hard for me it's the keeping it off. I want to get my health back. I have the big 3 - HB, HC, the big "D".
I started yesterday. A tad disorganized. I didn't realize how large and how many diet supplements I had to take. To make it worse I didn't have a pill box large enough to put them in. I lounged most of the day and didn't drink enough water (I have a hard time drinking water). I had gone to the Farmers Market on Saturday and bought vegetables that I like (did I mention I don't like many, . Didn't do anything with them until 7:30pm last night. Made a huge salad, steamed cauliflower, cut cucumber.
Breakfast, IP herb omlette in the morning. It was okay. Not the 9 egg omelette I'm use to at Family House , but it will do. Had a 16oz glass of water
Lunch, IP Bar, 2 cups of cucumber.
Dinner, This was interesting. I steamed cauliflower and sauted a turkey patty. Cut up the pattie and added the cauliflower to the pan. Added the leek soup and mixed together. It was pretty tasty.
Today I packed my stuff up and brought it to work. Hope the water drinking gets better.
My gripe for the diet today is - They put 8 puddings in my variety pack! WTH! Gonna make a call and see if I can change some.
Until tomorrow ALOHA

I used the peanut spread to make a thai peanut sauce one day with my chicken. It's not great by itself (like on celery) IMHO, but good to add that peanut flavor in other things.

Someone else mentioned their difficulty in staying on protocol, and I have been having the same challenge lately. Every day has a different temptation, especially now that my husband is done with the program and eats a regular tasty lunch. (We both work at home.)
So I am taking the "one day at a time" approach this week. If I can just stay on protocol one day, one meal at a time, maybe I can accelerate the pace of the weight loss. My slips have been small, but bring the daily calorie total up by 100 or so, rarely out of ketosis, just slowing the pace.
After being on the program since July, it'd be nice to do the last half and be done with phase 1 in a shorter amount of time. It took me 5 months to lose 37 pounds, and I'd like to accomplish the next 38 in 3 1/2 to 4 months.
However, I will say that if it took me another 5 months to reach my goal, I can't complain. No other program has ever taken me this far and given me the certainty that I can, in fact, reach my true goal.

Toothgirl I was thining the same thing about the "like" button from Facebook. And the red notifications too.
After yesterdays coffee not knowing if it had sugar in it or not, I drank a ton of water, ate like normal and layed down for a few hours finishing my book. Last night I felt fine and again today. So I hope that whatever that weird feeling was just a one time thing.
I'm back from my WI this morning and I was down 4 pounds from last week which was awesome since last week I'd only lost .6 pounds!
My sister and I always talked about how nice it would be to loose 50 pounds and how long it would take. Well this time I wasn't focused on 50 pounds, I was focused on healthy eating and BAM! I'm 3 pounds away from having lost 50 pds! I just can't believe it. What a great feeling.
Have a great day all, and it's nice to see the #'s changing SVELTING!
Great work.

Well, today I had my first WI... I am down 5.3! I thought it would be more and at first I was disappointed, but I am happy now. I just got my hopes up for a larger number.
After a week I have my favorites - Chocolate Drink, Orange Juice, Cereal and the Cappuccino. I am having a hard time with the "foods" (I do not like the puddings and soups) and I am usually grabbing a drink instead.
Keep up the good work everyone!

...CONGRADS WHODATCHICK for entering 'onederland' .... what a feeling that must be!!! I am dancing the happy jig for ya !!
Thank u all for the supportive words....YES, I am sad that my 'baby' Jules moved so far away...but NOW I have a great place to visit(and hopefully show off a beach body)....luckily my older 2 kids and all 3 grandkids are within a 15 mile radius !!
As far as the WF peanut spread...Jules bought it, I tasted it...NOT a fan......don't care for the texture or the appearance..maybe I try Mrs Diettrich's idea cause it's just sitting in my fridge.....The only WF items I like are the BBQ sauce>>great on chicken or beef, the Bacon Ranch>>for my salad, and the Coleslaw dressing>>on cabbage, I feel like I am eating real coleslaw...there is a produce market near me that has a huge selection of WF items.
I made a huge salad to have w my roasted chicken tonight....It's great getting excited about eating a healthy meal......maybe, just maybe, this healthy living thing will stick this time because god knows I have tried every 'diet' on the planet !!
ENJOY THE REST OF YOUR DAY IP'ERS !! =-)
