It's been very successful for me. You have to be willing to be restrictive at first, and then adjust your idea of what is good... but I've been able to eat enough to feel full, never hungry, and lost a surprising amount of weight quickly!
But basically, I've stuck to Phase 1, no restricted foods, no "one-a-day, 2-a-week" foods, the entire time. And it works! In one week less than 5 months, I've lost 87 pounds!
