Another benefit was that I'm more organized. I have meals planned out generally in the morning and when I'm going to be out I'm never stuck somewhere without at least a bar or something in my purse. Say I'm going shopping, I'll not go around a meal time unless I eat something first, because if I end up later than usual something bad might be calling my name.
Planning my dinner at breakfast gives me something to look foward to, and then I never hear the back and forth "what's for dinner? I don't know!" between my husband and myself. When we go out, I plan in the morning where we are going, and generally have a few alternatives up my sleeve incase they don't work out, but still, all planned and no crazy food choices to sabotage me.
Things do happen and I am flexible but I've learned to try to predict my days and fuel accordingly
