Went to buy an outfit for my brother in laws Jack and Jill party. Bought a size 12 pants !! Took in the 14 but it was too big, also bought a medium top. The sales lady gave me the medium I would have brought in the large or x-large. When I came out of the change room they said I looked cute, me cute ???? Anyway that made my day. Took my mother in law shopping for her dress for the wedding and bought another outfit for my daughters confirmation. The sales lady there said you are lucky you are skinny and wear whatever who want. I thought to myself is she talking to me ??? How come I do see what others see ???

Can anyone see anything wrong with cutting the bars in 4 and just having 1/4 bar with my morning coffee? It makes such a difference in starting my day. Of course, I'd also have my IP or alternate protein as breakfast, but the 1/4 bar is just enough to make me feel totally satisfied.

I'm sure it will be fine. You'll be able to tell by the scale at your weigh in. Are you in your first 2 weeks? If so, you may have a hard time having those bars in the house while you're coming off your carb addiction. Stay strong and enjoy those treats!

OK, My 2 cents...
I've modeled MANY times for a hair product company called Nioxin that is specifically designed for thinning hair or hair loss... one of the things that affects hair loss that I heard over and over again was High Protein Diets...so doesn't surprise me that IP is doing this to you. Now...the reasoning I heard was that diets like Atkins tend to be higher in fats and that clogs the hair follicles and such, but maybe something else to it. In the mean time I would recommend to start using Nioxin if you can. I have wonderful hair and keep getting booked always for Hair Shows for any company and that is what I use. Get the Follicle Booster as well... it ROCKS.
There was a model with us that had Alopecia and you could not tell at all... I saw her months later at another show, I was in the Nioxin booth working and she was with another company and let me tell you... you could see that bald spot on her... she had run out of the product and just didn't think it would matter but man she came running to stock up again!

I am in need of a pick up folks I am almost to my 4 weeks on IP this monday. I have been doing well, no cheats, no desire for it, and light excercise(walking). The scale has not moved at all for me this week, and I was even UP a pound this am. I think I could have handled stagnant, but not up! Arghh. I had started a cleanse through my IP coach, the same one as you Jordanna and initially thought it was great. Now I am not so sure. I have not had a solid bowel movement in a week(sorry for TMI) and it usually hits me immediately after I eat any food(veggies/protein/packets), anything. I went to see my coach, since I was feeling poorly. She took a look at me and said I needed more food. However, I have been exacting with my food/supplements/water etc. Is it possible that the cleanse it preventing me from getting any nutrient from the food I do actually eat? Does my body think it is starving? I stopped the cleanse today just in case.
It is just upsetting, as I am surrounded super healthy family and friends who warned me (as I am sure we have all been told) that I would start gaining it back.
I know I need to keep going, just having a pity party......thank heavens for this forum to vent

I must say...add some more magnesium and you should definitely see a bowel movement. Let me know! Oh yes, and water too

Because we are our own worst critics... sad yet true. We analyze every single little pore on our body that no one even cares to look at and we hold on to the worst possible thing and define who we are by it... There is the phrase that says "change the way you look at things and the things you look at will change" and BOY IS THAT TRUE!!!! Focus on your attributes and you will start noticing more and more wonderful things about you that you had completely ignored before!
I'm glad the lady at the store made you "wake up" from that hazy dream ;-)

Hair salons carry it... go to http://www.nioxin.com/en/assess-my-needs and see which ones you should get. There are also websites online where you can get the products at discount... I believe one is called Hello gorgeous or something like that.

Wow, deinekatze, only about a month to your wedding huh? I haven't been reading posts lately because I've been off IP for a week, but had to go back and find the pic of you in your dress. It is beautiful! I hope you feel as stunning as you look in it. I can't wait to hear how your whole wedding day goes.
Jordanna, I hope you decide to go for it. I think you were born to inspire people. Just try to think if you will be disappointed five years from now if you didn't do it, or vice versa. It will come to you.
Ok ladies, I am officially back on IP tomorrow morning. I am struggling a bit with the cost at the moment as some unexpected finances have come up. I will try and substitute the egg mixture several times a week for the IP omelet, and I may even have to do phase II here and there. Any ideas if that will work or totally screw my weight loss up?

yup, five weeks from today!!!!
think I could lose at least 15 more pounds by then? hehehe
Ok, question to all, especially Jordanna (our in house specialist ;-) hehehe) How much salt did they tell you all to take? Mine only said to add sea salt to every meal except for breakfast, but not a straight amount...maybe that's why I'm losing so little?

deinekatze with more magnesium, do you mean that to help me "go" haha. My problem is the opposite, I would love to stop going to the bathroom (sorry again folks for the TMI) I think that the food is never in my body for longer than 20minutes, literally, so doubt that is long enough for true absorption. I stopped the cleanse today, and have not gone once. I am hoping it was the cleanse that stalled me out.
Should I still add more magnesium? Man, I love you guys...you are all like the perfect walk in clinic
My salt requirement was 1/2 teaspoon, split between lunch and dinner...I hate salt, so I have been shooting in a very small glass of water with my nose plugged, and using my chocolate drink as a chaser...always classy here

Hey Calgary - did you try cutting back to one of the novi-lax a day? that might help. I haven't really had that problem personally, though once I did end up waking up in the night needing to get to a bathroom....
Regarding gaining a bit of weight, trust the program, you might have been retaining water or something, it will come off again.
This program has a great maintanence program that helps you ease back in to a normal healthy eating pattern and if you follow it properly you will keep the weight off and have gained the tools to stay healthy!

The general consensus on the boards is 1/2 tsp per day of good mineral enriched sea salts. I've also heard elsewhere that it should be a 1/4 of a tsp per quart of water you drink however I think that since we are on a low sodium diet they make sure we get adequate salt intake with the 1/2 tsp.
I measure mine out every morning and sprinkle a bit in my 1L water container everytime I fill it up. I also add some to food at each meal and most days I'm able to get it all down. Whatever is left I just fill my mouth with water at the end of the day and pour the salt in....It's essential to get your salt in everyday! It will slow your weight loss if you don't

As long as your sea salt has the trace elements and minerals in it it's fine, having pink see salt is indicative of having the elements and minerals because you know they haven't been bleached or washed out. Lots of times a good guideline is that if you get it at a health food store you'll be fine but if you get it at the supermarket - not so much!
