Finally made your turnip fry recipe tonight. Yummy. Used one turnip, sliced it thin, put in bag with 1/4 tsp each of onion powder, garlic powder and paprika. Baked on sheet sprayed with pam at 425 for 20 minutes. They were really as good as you said so thanks!

Speaking of Pam, is there any reason we shouldn't spray it directly onto food?

I noticed a big difference in how a pair of my pants fit today. Can't wait to get to my second weigh in on Thursday.

Has anyone gotten any feedback from their IP reps/coaches about substituting egg whites for the omelet or substituting the EAS Advanced Carb Control drink for the RTG drinks?

Today was weigh in number two for me. . . down another 4.2 pounds, which puts me at 10.6 after two weeks. Can't complain about that. Clothes are already feeling better.
I broke down and had half a slice of provolone cheese tonight. Errgh. My first cheat and it doesn't feel good.

Week 1: -6.4
Week 2: -4.2

Wow newsiemom! 10.2 pounds in 2 weeks is great!

As far as your "slip", don't sweat it. Did you have your 1 ounce of skim milk today with coffee? If not, you can have that piece of cheese instead. At least that's what I've read on here. I personally need my 1 ounce of skim milk in my morning coffee. Oh how I love coffee.

Just get back on the wagon and stick to the plan. We're all in this together.

I was at the chiropractor today and they asked me if I wanted to weigh-in and I said no. My weigh-in is on Wednesday so I'm waiting until then. I am curious since I don't have a scale at home but I can wait. I hope I lose 2 pounds (please, just 2 pounds!) so I can get on the Phase 2 train. That's my mini-goal for Wednesday.

Keep up the good work everyone!

When I first started taking the thyroid medication, I noticed a big difference. Suddenly I wasn't dragging my feet all day and for the first time in a while I was actually voraciously hungry! I think it did wonders for my metabolism. I got my levels checked last October because I just don't feel that way anymore, but everything was fine. So hopefully losing my extra pounds will help with the increased energy and metabolism again.

Guess I should get my levels checked sometime soon. Is is really possible to "heal" the thyroid?

Yes, definately get yourself checked. Be careful about being in the range - it is a huge range. Are you taking iodine?

Also, stay away from the soy products because soy blocks thyroid medication. Almost everything in the grocery store and diet products contain soy. I can't have the IP entrees or the soy snacks.

Thanks CinnamonSparkles for the encouragement. You are so close to phase two, it's crazy. Good luck on Wednesday. We'll be waiting to hear about your weigh in.

Good recipe: I made the omelet the other day with sauteed veggies in it. But, before I put the veggies in the omelet, I coated them in WF alfredo sauce. It was yummo.

Ahhhh. . . I know it has been posted many times before, but would someone be kind enough to tell me, in very simple baby steps, how to get my weight tracker to appear on the bottom of each post? I seriously can't figure it out. Ugggh.

had my weigh in today and gained a lb. Don't ask me how it happened because I have no idea...I didn't cheat, I am assuming it is water weight. Today has been a crappy day, I am ready to start a new day tomorrow.

Right now I just feel better and lighter and so optimistic for the future. While I really miss some foods, what I was eating made me feel awful a lot of the time. I don't want to feel that way anymore. I have just done blood work and will do it again in another month or two. I know losing weight can really affect the thyroid meds. My doc has that scale that tells your fat loss. I was there this morning. 15 pounds lost in 2 weeks 4 days and 8 pounds of fat. What is more motivating than that?

I started on Armour and went up from 30 gradually to 115, but an endocrinologist backed me off to 90. Then a 2nd Endo I saw switched me to 50 Synthroid and doesn't want to see me for a year. My internist is really working hard to straighten me out.

You did a lot better than I did, I lost 12 in 21 days. I'm still happy, and happy for you. Can't tell how much fat, but I use to go to a place that had the scale your talking about.

My coach said I can add an egg white to the omelet.

fluffymama I like your attitude start a new day tomorrow-that's the spirit! because our weigh in is just a snapshot. Next week will show a loss. Hang in there--keep going!
