my coach says three a day. We were only allowed 4 packets the first week.

I'm on 3 a day too. If you exercise your coach may have you on 4. ???

The protocol is:
Phase 1 3 Packs a day
Phase 2 2 Packs a day
Phase 3 1 Pack a day
Phase 4 Maintenance

Ideal Protein says that during the first week only you can add an extra pack if necessary.

Okay, tried the Lindora chicken broth (soup) for lunch today. Not bad at all. Rather comforting on this really rainy crappy day in PA. And, only 1 carb.

I used the wire ones. They didn't have wireless. I mean by wired that you take a long string of wire and bury it in the ground (we just wrap it around fence posts) and hook it up to this black thing that you plug into an electrical outlet. Btw, if you do the wire all the way around in a loop, the dogs will zap itself going out the door. Just an FYI. We had to configure ours weird with how the wire can be set up. Hard to explain...hopefully you are getting it.
I'm gonna do the wire, too. The wireless makes the boundary in a radius from the electrical source, and we couldn't figure out how to get the boundary on the one side where she always escapes(the 4 !/2' wall) to equal all the rest of the yard. Thanks you so much for all the info.

Are you in Northern CA? Do they have Rite Aid there? I went into one last night, and they have a whole section of Lindora. Not nearly as much variety as the site, but a lot. They have a lot of kinds of bars, which I'm trying to avoid.

Echobaby, what I ended up doing was starting at one side of the door, looping the wire around the fence to the other side of the door than looping it back to make the total connection. Hopefully that makes sense. You are doubling it, but there is plenty of wire!!!

I am in PA, not far from Philly. We have RiteAids. What section is it in? I'll check it out.

You all seem to be doing very well! congrats to everyone that has succeeded in the face of temptation!

I'm really having a rough time with things right now. Life's stresses seem to be catching up to me which makes it more difficult to stay focused and on plan. Thursday my furnace bit the bullet, having to fork over almost $4,000 for a new one pretty much squashed my dream trip of a a month in italy/greece this year. Also going through a total basement renovation as my sewer backed up on christmas eve. Working a full time job while starting up a business with my mom. It all adds up to a lack of motivation to rid myself of these last 10 pounds.

I've spent the last 2 years working on losing 75 lbs, then discovered IP not long ago and thought it would be great to take off that last little bit and finally reach my goal weight. Right now the last 10 lbs feels more difficult to get rid of than the first 75! I was pretty good all week, except i still can't stop myself from sneaking spoonfulls of peanut butter, which i know caused me to only have a loss of a pound last week. Then on friday my bf and i went out for dinner (which we rarely do) and I was soooo good...drank water, ordered a steak with only veggies on the side. The steak came wayy over done, so i sent it back, got a new one and the restraunt offered a complimentary glass of wine and whatever dessert I wanted to compensate for the screw up. It was friday, i was stressed to the max and i gave in! it was soo good, and i felt so relaxed and tipsy after just one glass of wine. Since then I have lost nothing, so i'm feeling really really discouraged. I obviously went out of ketosis because i am just starving today and cannot concentrate on work. It is taking every ounce i have to not cheat today.

Tonight i'm going to the grand openning of a new east indian restraunt, i'm sure there will be lots of temptation, then out for dinner for moms birthday. Tomorrow going to a hockey game where i'm sure the look of an ice cold beer and the smell of the burgers and hot dogs will drive me nuts.

Sorry for the long post, just had to vent. I'm feeling like maybe i should drop the program and lose the last 10 with a low carb diet and exercise, but of course it will take longer and i would really just love to get rid of it!

I've wondered if maybe the IP diet is easier and more successfull for people that have a larger amount of fat stores versus someone like myself with not much left to lose. Any thoughts?

As for rewards - I went out and bought myself a lulu lemon hoodie a LONG time ago hoping that I'd fit in to it one day, so that's my first reward...getting thin enough to wear it!

My best friend (StAlbertPrincess) & myself also have a competition going on. Every month we put up $50 and if one of us cheats we have to give the other one our $50, if we don't cheat we each put it in an envelope for a shopping spree once we've lost all the weight, we figure we'll have about $600 or so by the time we're done

Have a good day everyone
What a great idea for the competition! i love the idea that you guys are encouraging each other! My friend was not able to stick it out unfortunately but I know when she sees me after my medical leave she will wish she had stayed on ~ but we all have to make our own choices. i have lost like 10lbs since she saw me two weeks ago!
Keep up the great work ladies!

When we were given our folders they gave us an "updated" daily menu sheet with the afternoon snack added vs. the old one which did not have the afternoon snack. I will have to double check on it......
Thanks!

I think when we get to the last 20lbs, it seems to take longer to shed off.

hang tough girl! You have to do what feels best for you! Do the peanut bars not satisfy you/peanut butter cravings? Maybe you should just take a "break" and see how you feel.....follow your heart <3 Best of luck on your last 10 # loss!
